First - cat's can't get parvo. Odds are, your cat has some kind of an intestinal parasite. It will not cure it's self. If the cat is young, this can be life threatening, as they don't have the body mass to deal with constant dirreah. If your cat has coxcidia (look it up on the web) he will need an anitbiotic that will slowly kill the parasite. You may want to see if there are any low cost clinics around that may help you. Also, since your cat was already treated, it could be that your vet would just give you the meds and not charge you for an office visit. You can try over the counter de-wormers that you can get at Petsmart, but odds are, what it has will not be affected by those products, you'd be better off spending that at the vets.

I used to work at a vet's. How long ago was your cat treated for ringworm? Also, is the blood bright or dark red. Dark red is a sign of something wrong further up the intestinal tract. Bright red is usually involving the lower intestinal tract. Your cat could even be bleeding from a piece of hard matter in his stool scratching his rectum. Cat's can also become infected with giardia. Depending upon the severity of the diarrhea, it may be an indication of infection. I would just call your vet and try to get some answers from them, explain your situation, they won't charge you for advice given over the phone. This will better determine if a trip to the vet is, in fact, warranted.

vibrant pink blood in a cat's stool can ensue for numerous causes. it really is common at the same time as bowel moves are not straight forward or dry. if that's the case, figuring out the reason for the not straight forward/dry stool, if conceivable, would ascertain the region. numerous intestinal parasites, which includes worms, can bring about blood in the stool. this can be a quite unusual difficulty of coccidiosis yet kittensare the likely sufferers to have medical indications linked with coccidiosis, so it may well be worth rechecking a stool pattern to ascertain ifcoccidia are present day.

I know you don't want to hear this, but take him to the vet. Ringworm is not actually a worm; its a bacteria that grows on the skin, and is similar to Athlete's foot in humans. It won't cause blood in the stool.

Any number of things can cause blood in the stool, including worms, liver or kidney problems, intestinal tract problems, or various infections. You should check with your vet about payment plans if you are concnered about the cost; most vets have some form of plan you can use.

Good luck with your cat.

You need to take the cat to the vet. Blood in the stool is a serious sign of health problems.

Only the vet has the lab supplies and training to conduct the tests needed to help your cat.

I know you've said it twice and they are expensive...but go to a vet. Blood in the stool can be caused from anything from semi-serious to deadly, but none you can ignore til cash flows a little better. Talk to the vet and explain the problem and see if he can work out a payment plan or something for you. You would be surprised how nice some can be. Good luck
