it is a gift that you can you remember him or her by.
More seriously, the best we can do is suppress herpes. If you have more than 6 outbreaks per year you can take chronic suppression therapy which means take pills daily. It could reduce the number of outbreaks by 60-80%. In some folks, they get no recurrence.
Talk to you doctor about this.

There are a few medications that can suppress herpes.
Oral medication:
Acyclovir (Zovirax)
famciclovir (Famvir)
and valacyclovir (Valtrex)
There is even a acyclovir (Zovirax) ointment, but it's not usually recommended.
Unfortunately you can't get rid or kill off herpes, it is a virus and will stay with you the rest of your life. The only thing you can do is learn to control the outbreaks. The longer you have it, the less outbreaks you will have. The last one I had was about a year and a half ago.
I've had herpes for about 5 years now (I was diagnosed just after turning 17). It was devastating, but for the most part I've learned to deal with it. Although there is no cure, it is not a deadly STD (like HIV/AIDS or syphilis can be).
I hope this helped! Good luck!

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/herpesTreatments2015Lbqh
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

You cannot get rid of the herpes virus. Once you have it, you can never get rid of it. You should go see a doctor to get tested to see if you have a sexually transmitted disease. If you do have herpes, there are some medications that can be used to control it but will not get rid of it.

See your doctor to make sure that what you have is herpes. Medication (such as Valtrex) can reduce the number and severity of herpes outbreaks, but herpes cannot be cured.

Valtrex will keep it under control, and eventually if taken right, the medication will scare the herpes away. But make sure the doctor runs tests on you, as opposed to making an assumption. Valtrex can cause severe liver damage.
