I hate gay people. And I'm the one you think is mental? HELLO dude, you like someone with the same equipment as you but I'm nuts? I scoff at the notion!

Because people are stupid. They fear what they don't understand. Plus the Bible says gay people should be put to death in Leviticus so any idiot that believes it's the word of god will naturally hate gays. It's a shame really.
It has a lot to do with conditioning and the way people are raised.

I don't believe they hate the people----I believe they hate the gay lifestyle. Perversions are difficult to "cuddle up to," or to feel all warm and fuzzy about. (Ending with a preposition---I know!)
Why do Gay people hate straight people who find the gay lifestyle perverted? Don't straight people have their rights to opinions, actions, decisions, etc.
If the Gay Pride Community can march for their right to be perverted, shouldn't the straight community have the right to march against the perversion?
What's good for the goose is good for the gander?

Because they dont know any better. They were taught that way, and they got used to it. As soon as they saw something different, and understood it was a way of life, they couldnt understand it and couldnt get used to it, so they got uncomfortable with it. It all depends on where that person lives and what he/she was taught. Most of the time, though, i think they dont even havea good reason to "hating" them. They just cant accept the fact that theres different forms of living.

Hate is always a product of fear. And we tend to fear the 'unknown'. I suspect 'gay haters' do not personally know any gays, consequently 'gays' are a 'scary unknown' to these people. Sadly, the fear is expressed as hate. This is also a sign of emotional immaturity.

it's a social stigma. everyone has had homosexual thoughts so some try to loudly denounce homosexuality to hide the fact that they've thought about it and convince others that thier not gay.

Because they think its ok to makeout in front of children. It's not they ask too many questions and the answers are not good enough. Keep it to yourself.
