My daughter and I have a table in the living room where we like to keep out, with our puzzles that we are working on. We dont like putting them away everytime, because its much more inviting to work on if its already out and easily accessable. Our cats love to jump on the table and knock out pieces onto the floor and just destroy our progress. Does anyone know if there are anything like "puzzles protectors" out there that I can make or buy...like a cover of some sort? A towel or sheet doesnt work.

I would definitely be teaching them some manors lol, you don't let them jump up on the kitchen counter do you? The reason why they are doing it tho is probably cause they realize u are giving the table/puzzle attention and they know they will get attention if they jump up in the middle of it. Just like bad little kids.

In the mean time you could get a piece of cardboard or light wood like paneling that is the same size as your table or get one of those puzzle mats that you can roll up the puzzle.

Fix your puzzles in a room that's off limits to the cat. Restrict the cat to certain rooms only!! Other than that nothing can help your problem. My cat, not a kitten, sees me using the computer and will step directly where the keyboard is because he knows that he will disturb me to give him attention and when I put the keyboard away he leaves......GO FIGURE lol

Do you know those plastic "runners" that you place over carpets to protect them? ...usually near the door. They have little spikes on the bottom to hold them in place. So if you know what I mean, get one of them and put it over the puzzle so that the little spikes stick up. your cat won't like that. Another idea is just a big piece of cardboard with double-sided tape on top of it. Cats don't like the sticky stuff.

Lemons and citrus. Cats hate 'em. Soak some paper towels in lemon juice and lay them on the the puzzle. You could also put tin foil on the puzzle.

My cats do not like Aluminum foil. I have put it on the pieces of furniture I don't want them on, and also on the counters. There is also a spray called Boundary that I have used and they really did not like that.
