Two moms and Two daughters each buy a cd, when they get home there are only three cd's in the bag. Why?

On the way home, while stopped at a red light the ladies get car-jacked on 108th and Crenshaw. The guy with the gun tells them to give them everything valuable in their car. After giving the gunman their jewlry and wallets, the gunman then asks, "Whuh chaw bichez got in dat Curcuit City bag". The young girl says, Nothing. The gunman snatches the bag and as he and the young girl wrestle for the bag, one of the CDs falls to the street and crashes to the ground. The gunman notices that is a Taylor Hicks CD and he picks it up and slings it through the air. It lands on the street and is crushed by an oncoming bus. Frustrated by the rediculousness of the CD the gunman throws the bag with the remaining 3 CDs back into the car and tell the three ladies to get out of town before he sends his posse after them.
The ladies, though visably upset and frazzeled, arrive home with the remaining 3 CD's

Not, bad! You got me with the generation thing. I was expecting the "in the CD player" response.
One problem though.... All three of them are daughters, not just 2 of them.
Maybe it can be rephrased like this: "2 Moms go out shopping and each brings one of their daughters with them..."

because one of the moms was mother two both daughters. the other mom took the other CD

So one mom is the others and the daughter is a mom. And the daughters mom is someones daughter. So Mom bought one the daughter bought one and the daughter which is a mother bought another one. Something like that.
