I had a boyfriend like that. I couldn't believe what filth his house was in! I told him it was disgusting. We were teenagers then, so he still live with his parents. His Mom didn't have a job. I just couldn't understand how people could live like that. We went out for about 4 y rs and I only went in house about 3 times. I don't know how well you know this person. You might not be able to come right out and say it like I did. You need to be honest and say that they way they are living is uncalled for and unhealthy. Use a nice and sincere voice. Tell them that you don't want to embarrass them, but something needs to be done.
You could also write an anonymous note telling them to clean up their act! There is no excuse for that kind of laziness.

Oh man this one is a doozy. Personally i don't know anyone who lives like this, one thing i'll tell you is don't eat or touch anything. This situation is an Outbreak waiting to happen. Seriously they might not know the severity of the situation especially if they have been living like this for a long time. also you might look into whether they have mental issues in that case they can be reasonably unaware of their filthy surrounding. I would also call the public health department to complain about the unsanitary conditions. Ananimously call to complain about animals being abused and kept in inhumane conditions ( if that does'nt get them there fast, nothing will) you could give a fake name, address and etc.
You could also volunteer to give them a hand with cleaning up, bring your own cleaning supplies if your help is accepted. Good luck

I know someone like that except there were cockroaches and ants instead of maggots. She didn't really "get" why I did not want to eat or drink anything at her house, so I doubted she would understand the problem. I never said anything specifically about the nastiness. I did offer to help her get "organized" but she wasn't interested. I just don't go there anymore and I don't order food from the restaurant where she works. (In fact, seeing her house has made me reconsider how every food service employee lives).

I guess the first time you see it you are in shock!!

The next time you go over wear disposable coveralls, astronaut gloves, a bee keepers hat, combat boots and carry a flame thrower.
If you see a roach or maggot....crank up the ole flame thrower and burn that sucka!!!

* or you could call the health dept

*and if they have children, call CPS

* or if an elderly person lives there...call Adult Protective
Services.

But nothing will be more fun that roastin' them suckas'

You don't confront them. Its their house if they want to live in filth thats their choice. If I were you I simply would not visit.

P. S. Are you serious about the maggots? Thats gross.

I would immediately have nothing to do with that person. If his house is that filthy, he is used to it and he is not clean either. He probably thinks that living in filth is perfectly normal.

My god, I wouldn't go to that house if that was the last place on Earth to live.

Don't go back.
If they ask you over again, then take the opportunity to tell them why you can't/won't.
Or offer to help them clean it up.
Good Luck!
