What is a good menu idea for a father's day bbq? This is my first time having my family over to my house, and I want it to be something special that my dad will appreciate :) Thanks!

Surf and turf - lobster and bbq'd steak. Serve with coleslaw and potato salad and/or macaroni salad.

Here's a fun menu idea for fathers day that you could try. We have this sometimes at our house and it's always been a hit!

Top chicken breasts (however many you'll need) with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning and cook them on the grill. Top with bbq sauce about 5 or 10 minutes before taking them off the grill. Take (however many you'll need) corn on the cob and brush melted butter on them and season them with salt and pepper, then wrap them in tin foil and put them on the grill. Serve these two things with fruit salad, mashed potatoes, or anything else you like. :)

Hope this helps!

Pork baby back ribs. Rub a mixture of pepper & seasoning salt on the ribs, then cook in a 375 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Get your grill ready, & place ribs on hot grill. Let cook about 7 minutes each side, then brush bbq sauce on ribs & turn once more after 7 minutes each again. You will have perfect ribs. Serve with salad, fresh thick sliced bread, & maybe corn on the cob....yummers !!!

most dads like me and my family like to have a cook out on the grill on fathers day. Chicken, hamburgers and so forth. Nothing better than sitting around drinking a couple of beers and cooking out on the grill. that's what dads like to do

All dad appreciate a nice down home BBQ, a juicy T-bone or lemon herb salmon steak if he like seafood.

Make whatever the men who are dads want! Call them up and ask them! I bet ya you'll be putting steak on that grill if they have thier say! But since your hosting, I bet whatever you decide on will be great because you made it and had them over. Remember, its the thought that counts.
