I take AP and honors classes for my "gift" and sometimes it seems like the guys don't like me. Is this why or is it because I am black in a class of all whites or because I have short afro-like hair instead of long and silky. Oh yeah sometimes I am I comedian in class as well. Do I need to change a bit. What?

Don't change for anyone, just be yourself.
If the guy's dont like you for who you are, then they aren't worth knowing.

Do not change yourself. God gave you your intelligence. It's not that you're intimidating, it's that they're unsure and insecure with themselves. Just by reading your question, you sound like my older sister. You'll meet someone that will match you wit for with. And yes, I think the fact that you'll an only black in a class of all white is a little intimidating. My sister was like that when she was in grad school. Some white people hate to admit that some blacks are smarter and more intelligent then they are. Do you.

I won't speak about race or hair, but guys generally don't care if a is smarter than him, as long as she doesn't treat him like he is dumb, IE being a b*tch and rubbing it in his face that she is smarter than him. If she is nice then he won't care how smart she is.
