it doesn't stimulate growth. It prevents breakage. Which is the leading cause of hair that seems to never get longer.. splitting/ breaking ends. Cutting them off prevents damage to the entire hair shaft..
Not a lot you can do to make it grow.. except maybe follicular massage but the impact is minimal

Not true. Your hair is dead past the follicle. The only annecdotal evidence that people offer about hair growth after cutting is usually from those who cut their hair very short and experience a phenomena of being able to watch their hair get longer because it is shorter than they usually see it.
Think about how difficult it is to tell if your hair grew at all when you have long hair vs. how easy it is to tell when you have short hair and you can see it growing past your ear lobes or other facial feature.

No. Hair comes from the scalp. It doesn't know what happens at the ends of the hair.
I think the reason it appears to grow quicker is because getting the ends trimmed, helps stop breakage from the split ends, so it appears you have more hair.

Yes and if you do it on the day of the full moon, it really enhances the growth. They say this is a superstition or old "wives tale" but I stated doing it like that 4 yrs ago and my hair has grown longer and thicker than it has ever been and the shine is blinding.

No because your hair grows from the follicle. Follicle is in your scalp. Cutting your ends just makes your hair healthier, stronger and shorter.

Split ends break at the ends and when they are trimmed, the hair can grow freely without breaking.
