Poor Keala...
She was wild up to two days ago. Her mother and borthers/sisters left her and we rescued her. Could it be as a result of some disease contracted from the wild? Any info would help - thanks!

I guess I should have said this before - I AM taking my kitten to the vet - she has an appointment in 45 minutes. I was just trying to get an idea of what she might have so I can hint to the vet what I think it could be and give him a better idea of what is wrong and how to treat her.

That is very serious. Take her to the vet right away. It isn't possible to diagnose the problem by looking at the web. The vet will have to take cultures.

If you feel that you need to do the research and tell the vet what is wrong with your kitty FIND ANOTHER VET. Otherwise let the vet do their job. They went to school for years.

I might take your kitten to the vet simply to be at the secure facet. But considering the fact that you cant do it the following day you'll be able to consistently name them to look what they consider and the way pressing the problem is. I simply scanned over the Internet and there appears to be a few well locations to uncover a few data. Just style in bloody stool in kittens within the seek field.

IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF A HEART WHICH YOU MUST IF YOU RESCUED THIS KITTY, PLEASE TAKE YOUR KITTY TO THE VET RIGHT NOW, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TGE MONEY THERE ARE USUALLY A NUMBER OF ANIMAL ORGAN. THET WILL HELP YOU OUT WITH THE BILL, OR AT LEAST PAY IT AND LET YOU PAY IT BACK, LOOK IN YOUR PHONE BOOK UNDER ORGANIZATIONS, AND ANIMALS , CALL YOU LOCAL HUMANE SHELTER, DONT TAKE IT TO THEM, JUST ASK THEM IF THEY KNOW OF ANY ANIMAL GROUPS THAT MIGHT HELP OUT WITH VET CALLS, LOOK IN YOUR NEWSPAPER, UNDER LOST AND FOUND SOMETIMES GROUPS RUN ADS FOR FREE PETS TO GOOD HOMES, AND YOU MAY PICK UP A NAME OF A GROUP THERE, THERE USUALLY IS A " SAVE A PET " GROUP AROUND. JUST TRY HARD, IF YOU CANT FIND NO ONE WHICH I DONT THINK WILL HAPPEN, THEN ASK YOUR VET TO GIVE YOU PAYMENTS, EXPLAIN TO HIM HOW YOU RESCUED THIS KITTY, AND YOU WANT TO SAVE HIS LIFE AND GIVE HIM A GOOD HOME, ASK HIM FOR A DISCOUNT OR EVEN TO DONATE HIS SERVICES FOR THIS HELPLESS KITTY AND YOU IN RETURN WILL CALL THE NEWSPAPER HUMANE INTEREST SECTION, AND TELL THEM YOUR WHOLE STORY AND HOW THIS WONDERFUL VET DONATED HIS SERVICES, TO GIVE THIS HELPLESS KITTY A NEW BEGINING. HE WILL BECOME A HERO HIS BISINESS WILL THRIVE, ETC, GOD BLESS YOU AND THAT SWEET KITTY. PS YOU MAY HAVE TO CALL A FEW VETS BUT KEEP FAITH AND PRAY YOU WILL COME THRU AND KITTY WILL BE FINE.

I could be anything, including parvo aka distemper. Any type of diarhea, blood in the stool or vomiting is highly dangerous, especially in young and elderly animals...take to emergency vet ASAP.
