We rescue pets from the high-kill animal shelter in Miami, Florida, often foster them, and either transport them to no-kill facilities throughout the state of Florida or adopt them into loving families. We also assist others in transporting pets to freedom, if needed, and we help place pets for people who need our expertise. We will soon be a 501c3 non-profit organization, and we'll be doing fundraising events and other things to benefit homeless and abandoned at-risk animals! We are an all-volunteer organization, and we need volunteers and help take pictures of pets at the animal shelter, foster, and transport pets to safety!! We will soon give community service hours!

You do have a dilema :/ What I would consider doing would be to place an ad in the local paper... If you are giving the dog away to a good home, they won't charge you anything to run the ad for a week.. Just make sure you start off your ad with the letter "A" Example : "Adorable Lhasa seeking the perfect home" Because the ads are run alphabetically, yours would be placed in the beginning of the classified pets... People would see it sooner and you'd have a better chance of getting a call. Otherwise there are plenty of adoption agencies around.. Local people who foster dogs until they can find a loving home.. Ask your local vet if they know of any.. I'm up in Naples florida and we have places like "Friends of Gummi" "Collier County Animal League" things like that.. Your vet should know if there are any organizations like that in your area. Best of Luck!

Have you checked to see if there are any "no Kill shelters" in your area, your local Humane Society should be able to tell you this.t you know. If not and if your dog is a full bred, you may ask them if they know of any rescue homes for that breed, there are usally seperate rescue groups for different types of dogs. Good Luck,

Call a Lhaso Apso rescue in your area and they will find him a great home. They screen all their adopters, which is hard for just anyone to do. Good luck. Sorry you have to rehome him.

Please try to place your dog in Rescue. Don't take him/her to the shelter. Please don't do that. Try the rescue link below. I have done animal rescue for years but unfortunately do not know much about lhasa apso dogs. And PLEASE don't do the "free to good home" thing. You never know where this dog might wind up. Many dog fighters lurk the "free to good home" adds and get free dogs that they use for bait dogs or worse. PLEASE try your best to get this little dog into rescue. I swear if I wasn't so far away I'd take him/her myself.
