don't you just love all of the people who say it's not them or god, it is you. blind faith is never a good thing. people like jim jones and david koresh and others like them have always depended on it. so do these televangelist who say send me money and god will bless you and then you see them in $5000.00 suits and driving a Mercedes, and these people telling you that it is your fault they can't do gods will not theirs.

Perhaps it's not on us to sway you, but on you to open up to us. It's great that you want to understand. Open up and you will.
It's not a Big Bang kind of thing. Start small. No big bites, just little nibbles. Try reading some CS Lewis, like Mere Christianity. Don't even read the whole thing, just the first half. Then take a break and talk about it.
God give those of us that belive not the ability to help you understand, but the passion to keep trying, to keep talking to you. God gives us the patience and the love not to give up.

The ability to understand the things of God is a gift from God. Without this gift the things of God seem like foolishness.

You're thinking in the right direction. But the question should be, why doesn't He give you the ability to understand? The answer is your inability is the result of sin and hence, your fault.

You already have the ability to understand. You just have to want to understand.
Edit**
To your details.
God wants you to make the decision. Not take another persons beliefs as your own. He wants YOU to seek him. If you really seek with your heart, you will find Him.

We can't "make" anyone except Jesus. God gives us a choice and if you don't understand your need for salvation, the best thing i can do is pray for you.
God doesn't give us the ability to sway somone, he just uses us Christians...it's really him working not us.

God did not give me the ability to help you under my beliefs because the god generated by my brain is different from the god generated by your brain.

I'm a born-again Christian and I don't always understand everything the Bible says. However, the Bible does say in James that if any man lack wisdom to ask of God. Also in 1 Corinthians chapter two it basically says spiritual things are hidden to those who don't want to see them. God promises if you really seek Him you'll find Him. He said "He that cometh to me will I in no wise cast out."

When you are born your muscles are present but not fully functional.Faith is like this,we are all born seeking a purpose,a Creator,a meaning for it all. This is faith in its infancy. The more you use a muscle,or watch and learn from people who already know, the stronger the muscle gets. The deeper into the Word of God,and the Christian life you get,the more you understand.

Romans 3:10-13 says,
"As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one."
God seeks you! You will never understand until he opens your heart and mind, but remember that he could have already opened your heart, but you still reject him. I always wonder why people who do not believe in Christ ask so many questions. It's because you want to know, but you don't want to surrender. We all had to go through it at one point in our lives, surrendering! Give up to to God, if He is calling you don't reject Him, because that will have everlasting repercussions!

God is within us all. You just have to focus on what you believe in to come to know Him. An open mind and an open heart is a good start. Also you need to find someone to guide you as by association you will learn about your inner spirit.
