Read the gnostic gospels. He tells Thomas (I think) three things that would shock and apall the other disciples, and Thomas is sworn to secredy, and takes the secret to his grave.

And why would you say to not read the gnostic gospels, since they were written by some of the disciples? How are they heretical? That is like saying the bible is heretical.

Jesus.. I had many questions.. I always question things.. I did not think before (nice to explore) that Jesus is an "alien" as it makes all of us then :-).. but I thought what if Jesus was from the future.. then many things that he had done, could have been maybe done with magnetic rays etc.. just think.. one goes back in the past and flies or open the garage door with remote.... everyone then will thing you possessed or a demon or supernatural being, or whatever.. pity we have no more 'aliens' as Jesus around..

The Gnostic Gospels are heretical. Don't believe anything they claim.

Interest in the Gnostic Gospels increased dramatically in 2003, with the publication of the bestselling novel The Da Vinci Code. The book spun an elaborate web of pseudohistory and conspiracy theories, claiming that the Gnostic Gospels had just as much validity as the accepted New Testament gospels, and that it was just an arbitrary decision by church leaders in the time of Emperor Constantine that excluded them from official status. Modern historians and church officials dispute this, saying that the four gospels that were included in the bible were chosen because they were eyewitness accounts from the lifetime of Jesus, written either as firsthand accounts, or based on verbal accounts but still written before 95 AD. Scholars generally agree that the Gnostic Gospels, by comparison, were not written until generations later, during or after the second century AD. They cite as an analogy, the case of whether it would be more trusted to read a biography of George Washington that was written by one of his contemporaries, or a contradictory account that was written 200 years later.

Much of the information in The Da Vinci Code was based on the 1982 pseudohistorical book Holy Blood Holy Grail, which has been since proven to be unreliable, as much of that book's research and claims of "fact" were based on forged medieval documents which had been created for the Priory of Sion hoax.

Quote: "..since they were written by some of the disciples?"
- The gnostic texts were written 200-300 years after Jesus' death. Sorry but none of His disicples were alive then. The Gospels of the New Testament were all written within 62 years of Jesus' death.

Quote: "How are they heretical?"
- They make fantatic claims such as "God is a cannibal," or "A woman must become a man to enter Heaven" which are counter to any of the Old Testament texts.

Quote: "That is like saying the bible is heretical."
- No, it isn't. Of all the Gnostic texts, most of which are incomplete, most only have ONE original source. The Gospel of Thomas has the most with at total of FOUR.

The four Gospels that are included in the New Testament have over 6000 original sources!!!

You do understand that this "gospel" is not a gospel right?

It wasn't written by thomas and was written years and years after the death of Jesus.

1. Gospel The proclamation of the redemption preached by Jesus and the Apostles, which is the central content of Christian revelation.
2.
a. Gospel Bible One of the first four New Testament books, describing the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and recording his teaching.

He was obviously extra terrestrial. I mean, he wasn't from earth. I don't think that's the same as 'alien' by your definition.
