Why is it you come to a religious forum and bash religion? why don't you go to another forum and talk about things you know. Is it because you really want to know about God and this is the only way you can get information about him? You have to deny everything and bash everything just to get someone to talk to you about religion? If you really want to know about God, then please just ask and I am sure there are lots of people in here that would help you to understand. I can't believe some of the comments in here, and I guess I don't understand why you would be here unless you secretly wanted to know more.I hope you find the peace you are looking for and I hope you understand how scary it is for you to be saying some of the things you are.

Thank you momof3 you were in the spirit because I was just about to make the same comment and then I came across yours. God truly does work in mysterious ways.

But that is true people come on here and try to diss religion when the don't know anything about it. They are lost souls who need Peace, Divine Healing and the Lord's Wisdom. So all the true believers of God the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, really need to be prayerful of folks like that because they know not what they do.

We also have to remember the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. So for the Saints of God be careful of the devils who lurk on these sites.

By non-believers, I take it you mean non-christians ? HOW DARE YOU ?? This question is typical of christian arrogance and blindness. xianity is not the only religion in the world. We can be spiritual without having to 'pay into' a system of beliefs. It is ignorant people lilke you that give other christians a bad reputation.
This section is not limited to christianity, otherwise it would be under the christianity heading. I see no such heading, instead I see religion and spirituality.
Don't you realise that xianity is a second hand mish mash of stolen beliefs and guilt trips ? Or are you so brainwashed by your cult that you can't see the end of your nose ?
I will petition the God and Goddess and ask that they help you gain an open mind , understanding and tolerance of that which you lack the education to understand.

Please note: "Religion and Spirituality". Spirituality may be in religion or without. Why claim a lack of belief in God because they come to post?

Getting to know God is a personal journey we all take in life. This forum is merely one place to define some of our thoughts.

I don't see denial of religion, so much as questioning how you can believe what you do. Is this too much to explain?

Again, as spirituality (finding God) is a personal journey of life. Why would someone be here to 'learn' from those that are not thinking for themselves? but following the party line in their religious following?

Is your religion so wobbly that someone's comments can shake your foundation? Why come to a public forum if this is so?

hi mommy of 3-thanks for the happy thoughts-this is not just a religious forum but also spirituality-no religion necessary-that is why i am here-the two are different-now on to the bashers-think most of them are just looking to get a reaction they could be using this to learn and spread peace and love instead of wasting everyones time but as long as people respond to them i am afraid we will have to put up with it-do believe if no one answered most would move on but dont see that happening to soon so i pick and choose and enjoy the people who show signs of intelligence-as you can tell i put you in that group-lots of love keep the peace and spread the light old hippie here

Personally I am a believer, but this isn't a religious forum. It is a section that talks about religion and spirituality. You cannot discuss religion without talking about God. You cannot talk about God without people having different views of him.

Some of those views are that there is no god, despite the fact that I don't agree with those particular views, they are a part of religious debate.

This is a religious forum...so why can't I come here as a non-believer and discus what I think about religion? Just because I don't believe as you do? Do you only want people who believe as you do to answer questions here. Don't you want to hear different opinions?

Your question makes you appear you are not willing to expand your mind....but looking to incite anger on the non-theists' part. That isn't very mature coming from a theist. Below copied from my blog:

I, as only one spiritual atheist, am here to learn about the various religions, philosophies and spiritualities of the world. I always held fascination with religions in general (not just christianity---ALL religions, old and new). I do not seek a "god" belief, but here to seek how people attain inner-peace, self-knowledge, inner-wisdom and how they attain peace in their lives in general---and that I might learn a thing or two. :-) I seek to find and improve on my own atheistic spirituality, to improve upon myself. Isn't that what spirituality is basically about? I believe so!

I also hang out here NOT to "defeat religion" but mainly to give the "other side" of the equation, to give information, and to let others know that there are more than one valid way to see, learn and experience the world. R/S section is not "just reserved for the theists". It is reserved for all.

I have to disagree that being spiritual always REQUIRES a "god" belief. What of the Buddhists or Taoists? They are deeply spiritual, but lack a "god" belief of sorts. The way I see it, spirituality focuses on the internal part of the person---their soul, their personality, their well-being. Religion focuses more on the external (church, praying rituals, communion, confessionals, etc), and usually religion does require a belief in "god" or a supernatural entity of some sort.

The category does not say non-believers can't be here and, besides, where else should they go to bash religion....Home and Garden?
Keep reading. You will definitely find some very nasty posts from religious people....but I guess that's OK.

there are other religions and faiths out there not just christianity and islam. there are many many faithful followers of god and gods that there are in this world. you can not say that people come here to just bash your religion if we already know who and what god is you seem to think that if you aint a christian you are a non-believer but i will tell you this i am a Pantheist and i believe in a god simple enough. there are thousands of religions that fit the people who follow them. religions that are known..Pantheism, buddhism, hindhuism, paganism, wicca, spiritualism, and my favorate is daoism.
do some research on religions before you claim that they are non-believers.
atheist are the only non-believers out there get your facts straight please
