He calls me a brat for doing nothing, he hits me for no apparent reason, he is selfish and mean. If its not about him its worthless and if he doesn't get his way he pouts.... He never admits he is wrong because as his little sister, I'm ALWAYS the one doing something wrong. I'm 13 and he is 16. My parents know I HATE him (literaally) but they won't do anything. They say I should ignor him, but its hard to ignor a punch in the arm. My mom refuses to listen to my testimonies because she says I'm just trying to create drama in my life. I just want my brother to leave me alone... In the past month he has cause me to bruise and I have bit my self because of him. I have almost cut because he is such an a.s.s.h.o.l.e..... I'm surprised my family hasn't relized I'm serious and that I'm not making it up... The last time I told my mom, I was in my room, and she told my family, 'OK, Don't fight with her because she said you guys fight everyday' but she didn't take it seriously, only so I'd hear..

Don't be angry, my dear. =) If you want my honest opinion, you have a problem with your temper. Didn't you noticed how you replied to the girl who gave you her heartfelt opinion to help you out? She was just trying to help, but you shut her out.
Yes, I don't know you... that's what's good about it! I don't have anything against you. So, I can freely say, I am speaking from my heart.
Honestly, I want to help you. You are 13 and your brother is 16. Don't ignore what your brother is doing to you. Be calm and seek deeper the reason why he is so mean to you. If you do find out, be honest to yourself and try mend everything. Patience and humility are two of the greatest virtues in life.
With regards to your parents. Don't judge them that quickly. yes they might not have noticed the gravity of your situation, but that doesn't mean they don't care about you. Believe me, they do care about you both!
Take a deep breath and stay as calm as you can. Keep yourself busy to keep your mind away from the word "revenge". I could see myself in you when I was your age. =)
Hope everything goes well with you and your family.

Me and my bro used to always get into it, even to the point of fist fights. We love each other to death now that we're older, but I couldn't do much with him when I was younger. I really stayed away from home, immersed myself in clubs and organizations. After school programs and summer programs and then I would go to church in the evenings. If you can find a things to keep you away from him it should help.

If it is as serious as to the point of injuries and bruises and your parents aren't entering the situation, the next step would be to tell a teacher. Your parents might listen to a teacher but if they don't you have someone who can give you options. Good luck and I hope all goes well.

its called sibling rivalry. its common in siblings having less gap.the best is avoid him as much as possible. in addition to that, i suggest you not to take serious about it. be far away from him, that's sufficient.
