You sound like John Lennon when he sang the song "Imagine" I think the world would be a better place! But that's just me ;)

actually, i think that the world would turn to utter chaos. Can YOU imagine a world where no mercy is shown, human life has no value, and murder and theft are seen as everyday things? Dont worry - when the great tribulation starts, you'll get what you wish for. However, until that time predestined by God, i will do my best to make sure that people like you do not destroy the world body and soul through your blind hatred of us Christians.

Child of God -- what an interestingly phrased question !

Without religion / spirituality, we would be no more or less than the other animals. They live, they die. Are they happy? They seem to me to be -- but they don't know what they miss (who does?).

Without *the idea of God*? Hmm. Seems to me, the *idea of God* is the basis of all spiritual / religious beliefs. So, same answer. We would have have no connection to something larger than ourselves. We would just live day-to-day, meal-to-meal. Meaning of life? There would be none -- but we wouldn't even think to ask. Would you want to live like an animal -- not the romanticism, but the real, predator / prey basic existence?

As to your implied question, what would we be without the existence of God, well, that's easy. We'd be nothing. We exist as a part of God -- without God, there is nothing. That doesn't sound happy or peaceful to me, unless you enjoy the state of non-existence.

Our brains are biologically hardwired to believe in god and religion. This is true whether or not a god or a true religion exists.
It is the price we have to pay for being human. We know we have to die. But to cope with that uncomfortable fact and make life meaningful our brains have evolved the god-belief and the religious/spritual function otherwise we would have all died of neurosis a long time ago.

Well religion is something that is manmade and God is Fact. But if you removed everything as you said, then you would just have Satan, evil and the ways of the world left with no hope for the future and no hope of salvation. I'm glad the real world isn't like that.

There would be no point in being here. You and I are both here for something, and it's not our own selfish pleasure. In fact we wouldnt even have a human race or anything. When it comes down to it, we're here on this big ball called the earth as a test, to glorify God, and to come back to Him.

Why else would we be on earth, theres really no purpose. We live and we die. There's no purpose in anything if there were no religion or God.

Romans did not have a religion - how was the world at that time? utopia? - destruction has nothing to do with religion - (i'm talking about Islam) others, yes - it's the vain desire and their own lust that people choose to follow ....this indeed, my friend, is the root cause of all problems or what you're referring to as destruction...

I you take GOD away, no matter the formal religion, then what would anybody have faith in? What would guide them (whether good or bad). Everybody needs something to believe in and to guide them. If there was none of that, then people would be like a huge heard of cattle wandering aimlessly with nothing to guide them or to influence them in any direction.

I wish the world were like that! Religions are the worst human institutions. On the other hand, I don't think ideologies are bad. Fanaticism in connection with ideologies is bad.

God is not into the gooey-gooey feel good stuff. One world, one idea. these things cannot be accomplished until God establishes his Kingdom on earth. And you have'nt seen anything like the way he will clean house.
