They are reputed to be good cars, mostly because of their German origin and that country's wonderful engineering history. Are they really any good. Like your other responder said, if you take care of it, as in change oil regularly and don't try to "drive the wheels off it", yeah, but then I've had a VW for a whole lot less money that lasted longer for a lot less money in upkeep. And BMWs are such a vanity thing that you most likely won't want to keep it as long as I kept my VW, and the price of BMW's are waaayyyy too much. But if your ego requires it, hope you have the money.

Yes very good cars but you can just as much car for less money in other brands.
You also might want to think about Maintenance costs for the future. BMW's are not cheap to have worked on.

Yes, the car is good. They ride pretty well, but it depends on how you drive them. Do they last? Sure, if you maintain them and don't drive them too hard. If you buy the car and never change the oil, no, it won't last.

bmw are a well built, reliable car, given regular maintenance they will give excellent service for many years. ride and handling are way above jap or yank cars of comparable size. the down side is maintenance can be expensive,as are parts. fine automobile,

They are the BEST! They last forever and look good if taken care of. I had a 3 series in high school with 200k miles on it ands it was perfect! Even if you are buying an old one does not mean its not a good car!

They are luxury sports cars. They ride like a Cadillac and handle like a dream... Especially the high end M3.

they ride like a cheep oldsmobile and last like a quad four. but since you pay so much for them the dealer is quick to fix for free your many, many problems...get used to the loaner car! the people that like them , like them because they bought one and won't admit they stepped in it....look at me...i can afford a bmw...

They're great cars and will last for along time if you take care of them but the maintenance on them can be expensive

The are one of the elite cars of course they are the best. Any car that is not made in the US are great built cars keep that in mind.
