1.Medication 2.Psychotherapy.
See your Family Physician or a Psychiatrist. Medication treatment for both is usually the same, so they hit two birds with one stone, which is good.

You have a few different choices to treat anxiety and/or depression.
There are a number of meds on the market that will treat and help depression and anxiety at the same time. These meds are in a drug class called SSRI's.Sustained Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors. You need to get these meds through prescription provided by your physician.

You can also try therapy through a licensed psychiatrist. A good one will teach you coping mechanisms, such as relaxation techniques.

The first step though is to be diagnosed with depression/or anxiety disorder. I recommend that you make an appt. with your doctor or be referred to see someone in the mental health department.
Best of luck to you.

What is it that is causing you to feel this way? What is the level of your anxiety and depression?

I don't recommend resorting to medication immediately...that only treats the symptoms. You need to discover the source of the problem first. Learning to understand what is causing these feelings is most important...then you can properly deal with the resulting symptoms.

I was on Lexapro for a while for both depression and GAD. It is approved to treat both conditions. Bad sexual side effects for me though. Good luck!
Best idea is therapy- talk about your problems with someone trained to listen and guide you to solutions.
