Wow---some genius ---don't you think it be more affective if you bothered to put down a specific time to start??

You are not trying to stop starvation of innocent children. You are trying to test God. Prayer does work. Why not "spiritually adopt" a starving child in Africa and make it a life-long commitment to feed this child and keep it alive, if that is truly your purpose. God knows all hearts.

Hey, I'll be drunk by then, but could you change the prayer slightly? I'm about to ditch work and play a round of golf. I could really use a sub 90 score this time... So would you mind praying for something a little more reachable like giving me a great golf score. Those kids can wait.
Thanks!

The problem is not that God will not answer but the what type of answer will God give?
It may not be what you want or expect however it will be the one that provides everyone with the most love and growth.
Maybe God will plant the love in your heart for you to go to Africa and come up with a practical solution to your desires.
If we all truly loved each other and practiced that love you would see these problems go away.

Do not put the Lord your God to the test.
I'll still pray with you about the starvation but not to test God. It is not God who causes this but it is satan who causes this starvation. I think you have a good premise but a poor understanding of the way God works.

how about we say a prayer for those people that have the money and resources to go feed these starving children in africa. Let us pray that these people find God in themselves and help those in need. God is the Almighty...but it's up to us humans to help eachother and make the effort to help those not as fortuante as us.
= ) Let's pray that i pick the right lotto numbers this saturday and i'll go feed these children myself...

If only it were that easy. God is not a "genie" to grant our every desire. Should he simply "bail us out" of every problem that we have created? God is not starving anyone in Africa. We, as humans, are responsible for that.
Instead of praying for God to "solve the problem", how about we pray that God show each of us what we can do to rectify the situation?

God answers pray one of three ways, yes, no, and wait. Maybe something else is going on in Africa. We can pray. But a better prayer would be to have God reveal himself to you. God judges nations, and people according to their faith, he is not a genie in a bottle.

God created the starvation there, its called population control, survival of the fittest. You can pray all day it wont and has never helped anyone.

As God did not create the problem...you are seeking a miracle! That is not the purpose nor power of prayer.
