A group of homeless cats are to become stars as they spend ten days in a New York shop window being filmed for a reality TV show.



They get to laze about in a cat-sized house with beds, sofas and a fish tank (containing fake fish).

One of the ten cats will be evicted after a public vote each day.

The show is the creation of a pet food company that wants to promote cat adoption and will be shown on the television channel Animal Planet. All the cats will be found homes after they are evicted.

you know these cats are gonna be looked after better than you & me so I say let these homeless cats have some fun in the sun & get their 15 mins of fame also It will help some of them get homes too..... the american humane society will be montiering them too...

It's a great idea. Every evicted cat already has a home lined up to go to after it's off of the show. It's a neat way to get people interested in adoption of animals.

I think it's a great idea. The cats all get homes, and it might help bring people out to the shelters to adopt more cats. (Maybe even some dogs) If even one additional animal finds a home as a result of this show then it was worth it.

I think it's pretty harmless, I saw a pic of their living arrangements and it's pretty nice for a cat! Plus it encourages animal adoption.
