Without proof, there is only faith. The truth is that we can't even prrove that he existed, and not a single event in his life can be verified or nailed down to a single date. Many events (like the census that brings M & J back to Bethlehem) we know, with a great deal of certainty, never happened (along with many, many "historical" events of the Old Testament.)

All you have is faith. Just take Mel Gibson's word for it. (Although I question the knowledge of someone who thinks that people in the 1st century Levantine were walking around speaking Latin to each other. Every one know that Greek was the Lingua Franca.)

Someone said: "Most all of the writings Christianity were written early in the first century. "

Actually very, very few were written in the first century. And many that were were abandoned by the church. Most of what we call the bible dates to the 2nd and 3rd centuries.

Someone said:

" And there is no proof that your mother loves you.
There is no proof that you love anyone else
..."

No, but we can prove that Caesar crossed the Rubicon. We can prove that Troy fell in a battle. We can proove that Charles Martel existed. We can proove that people lived in Mexico in historic times. We are talking about events, not fluffy philosophical drivel.

Well, is a question without an answer. I believe in Jesus and His miracles, and it's something only have to believe it cause your faith.
Anyway in History Channel they made a documentary about this and they found some proof about it.

All I can say is when I was little i was suffering of asma severe There's no cure for the Asma, but my grandma took me to Church, and the prayer said, in name of Jesus Christ (like the Bible says) cure this girl. And guess what? until the date, there's no more Asma in my life. Medicine? there's no cure, myself? I don't think so. It was the power of God.

I feel like you're a little bit confuse of what to believe. All you need is a little pray, and if you truly believe, you will get some answers, it takes time, but soon enough, you will know the true.

I hope this help you out.

It was not hundreds of years that these things were written. The earliest was about 38 years after Christ died and rose again. Family members and others who actually knew Jesus were still alive. Do you not think, even those who did not believe Jesus, would have spoke up and made a big deal of it if it were not true? It is even recorded in different Kings royal records, Pilates records.

Read the "Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel, he provides many examples of proof outside of the Bible.

you received't discover any. As you are able to already see, the authentic believers do not require evidence, yet rather are satisfied with the very incontrovertible truth that there are Bible memories making the declare. i do not imagine that all and sundry has really ever lengthy gone previous that. you're really asking a marginally reliable question the following, although. What if Jesus really had performed miracles. How may all of us study about it? To be effortless, I even do not comprehend. To turn the question round, although, ask your self why human beings may trust that Jesus had performed miracles contained in the first position? an surprising source is the justifications of the extra modern-day "Indian Rope Trick" (resources). maximum seriously, study the section contained in the Wikipedia article about Penn and Teller's replication of the trick. It explains plenty. Oh, and my hat off to those who replied "there is no evidence, merely faith". that's a competent, effortless answer, reflecting far extra effectual on Christianity than the "it truly is shown because it truly is contained in the Bible" solutions.

The books of the apostles were not written hundreds of years later, the apostles wrote them after Jesus' death. All that is written in the Bible is said to be the true words of God, and one MUST have faith to believe it.

Actually, there is proof; aside from the new testament, (which by the way is a word for word account of the life of Jesus, not gossip) researches have found original parchements that document the lives of Jesus. They recently found the gospel of Judas; an original work that writes about the relationship between him and Jesus and the work of Jesus whilst he was here. Since these are original documents, that should be great proof for curious minds.

I saw the documentary on the discovery of the gospel of Judas on national geographic and you can read about it there.

The Gospels were written within a few decades of Jesus's time, not "hundreds of years" later. Furthermore, his time was one in which literacy was not common and history was passed down orally. Historians will tell you that a story that was passed orally can still be credible even decaes after it originates.

And there is no proof that your mother loves you.
There is no proof that you love anyone else
There is no proof in the rationale of having "hope."
There is no proof that compassion exists
There is no proof of the full capacity of the mind
There is no proof for the full capacity of the spirit
There is no proof of the origin of sadness
There is no proof of the origin of grief
There is no proof of the origin of happiness
There is no proof of what makes people "happy."

Faith......you have faith that your parents love you

You have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow
You hope that your family loves you
You hope that you will not be in a tragic car accident today
You have faith that, no matter what, you will be able to use your fingers, hands, feet, legs, and brain tomorrow--and you HOPE that no illness or tragedy will befall you that will take those capabilities away from you.

You want proof of everything in your life? Then you are going to be vastly and devestatingly disappointed. Faith, Hope, and Love are without proof----but, nonetheless, absolutely necessary to sustain life as you know it.

you don't understand. The Gospels of John, Mark, Matthew and Luke in the Bible were written during the time of Lord Jesus. There were actually people who witnessed first-hand accounts of the miracles our Lord did during that era. Though our society has now been disintegrated and humans have become immoral, there are still accounts of miracles linked to jesus. Perhaps it is due to our great distress that make us turn to The Lord. Believe in Him with all your heart and soul and love your parents as thyself. May God be with you always.

That's incorrect. There's a story where He told the multitudes about the Beattitudes. Supposedly He could not have shared it with that many people from what the Scripture reports.
However, after geologic studies of the ground where He spoke, they have found large amounts of basalt in the soil, which would have naturally amplified His speech; thus making the story very possible.
