With thousands of religions espousing love of G-d, life, liberty, good deeds, as well religions for hate, destruction, devil worship, and genocide, there must be one main religion that can serve as a guide for mankind to emulate for the best outcome for everyone in the world. Which one is the best for us to learn from, for ourselves and our future generations' well-being?

There are many different cultures, each with their own stories, but only one God. So the best one is the one which speaks to the soul of each worshipper, and brings the individual into a closer relationship with the Supreme Being, and with their fellow human beings.

Since God is infinite and we are not, we can't possibly understand God completely. All religions are wrong, to some extent, and all are right as well. Those religions which claim to be the last and final Word are the most mistaken of all.

Islam.

because,

>Islam has Practical Solutions for the Problems of Mankind. e.g. to reduce murder, rape, poverty. etc

Islam is a perfect religion which has nothing left to add or subtract. There is not a single teaching of Islam which is against humanity as a whole. All the good teachings which other religion speaks about is already present in Quran and sayings of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.

There is no compulsion in the religion; Truth stands out clear from error; so whoso disbelieves in idols and believes in God, has laid hold of the most firm handle, which cannot break; and God is Hearing, Knowing.
Al-Quran (2:256)

"On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. (The Noble Quran, 5:32)"

Religion is a personal belief in a greater all knowing, all caring, all loving, greatest possible being. Religion provides structure and a moral compass to live life. Everything you have listed has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with religious organizations.

Don't put your faith in the Church put your faith in God. Then it doesn't matter if you call him Jehovah, Buddha, Jesus or any of the other 100 million names for god in the world.

PS. Remember just because people say they are acting on their religious ground usually have a alternate agenda.

there is one and only religion sent by God to mankind and that is "submitting to the well of God" which in Arabic means Islam
If you are realy serious about religions, you should find out what the religions say, not what people say... find out the facts rather than opinions
I would recomend you to visit the sorce below and read some of books and you judge what is good for you and for all human beings... dont forget that God has given you free-well to choose between right or wrong...

RELIGION?? THAT IS A HUGE QUESTION U ASKED, EVERY BODY HAS A SPECIAL WAY OF COMMUNICATING WITH GOD IN HIS OR HER OWN BELEIFS, SO I DONT BELEIVE TOO MUCH ON ANY RELIGION, AS AN AFRICAN.. THERE HAS BEEN A SPECIAL WAY IN THE WHOLE AFRICA TO TALK TO GOD BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF CHRISTIANITY OR ISLAM, SO THE PEOPLE THEN WERE GONNA BE JUDGED ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN HEART AND DEEDS WHILE ALIVE, NOT BY RELIGION. SO I BELEIVE EVERY RELIGION IS A FREAK.. ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHAT U DO TO URSELF, TO OTHERS ARROUND U, AND TO UR CREATOR, THERES NO CHURCH OR MOSQUE IN HEAVEN

There are many religions (as an example - Gal.1:13 below, the Jews’ religion), but one faith (Eph.4:5 below).

Eph.4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

When we are baptized into Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit we BECOME a “new creature” (2 Cor.5:17, Gal.6:15 below). We become, individually, as well as collectively, the living body of Christ (Col.1:24 below). We become the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 below, 1 Cor.1:2, 1 Cor.15:9, Gal.1:13), the one faith (Eph.4:5 above).

2 Cor.5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he IS a new creature (Gal.6:15 below): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal.6:15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (2 Cor.5:17 above).

Col.1:24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body's sake, which IS the church (1 Cor.10:32, Gal. I:13, 1 Cor.1:2).

1 Cor.10:32Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God (Eph.2:16 below).

Eph.2:16 And that he might reconcile BOTH (Jews and Gentiles - 1 Cor.10:32 above) unto God in one body (the church of God - 1 Cor.10:32 above) by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Gal.1:13For ye have heard of my (Paul's) conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above), and wasted it.

The best one, I think we can all agree, is the one that's true. Who wants to believe a lie? Christianity is true, and therefore, "the best for mankind" as you put it. Christianity is the faith that broke the barriers of culture and sexes.

Christianity leads mankind back to it's Creator and in the process unites men and women of all races in Christ. It teaches us that we are all created in God's image and therefore we're all equally valuable, regardless of social status, race or gender.

Religion was used as a way for the king to unite people. (nationalism was non-existent) The same could apply today. However, nationalism is a rampant force, and it divides people. You can't just pick one thing for six billion people, especially when those people are greatly diversified.
