I think that it is the most wonderful and true church on earth!

The people seem nice enough but I have serious issues with the religion itself. I don't understand how they can honestly believe all the things that Smith claimed because I know they use the bible and so they should then know that Jesus was the last and there exists no need for anymore. That bothers me.
It also bothers me when, despite all historical and scientific evidence to the contrary, they want to insist that native americans came in a boat from the middle east.
Furthermore, a couple of nice young men came to my home and offered me a free book of mormon which I accepted out of curiosity. I am not an ignorant person and believe everything should have a fair evaluation period. But that book bothered me. Scared me even. I didn't get past the first page. And while I couldn't exactly put my finger on it, something was definately wrong with it. It doesn't read like the Bible is the best way I could explain it and even that doesn't really explain. The two gentlemen had said they would be back but they never came and I threw the book out as I did NOT feel comfortable having it in my house.
And that's what I think.
But as I said all the mormon ppl I've ever met have been really nice. Well, except for my aunt (by marriage) who just plain nasty and rude lol.

Some call us Mormons, but our Official name is
"The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints."

I'm a LDS for over 30 years, and never regret it. Though some LDS are not living up to the church standards, but mostly are very good christians.
Over all these years, despite some false info and misconception from many, I find the LDS Church to be a church holding high moral standards, strong family unity and provide great services to their neighbors.

I am Mormon so obviously I think it is wonderful! I was just sealed to my spouse in October and I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. The church and the gospel is true. Unfortunately no person is perfect so the church is judged by the ones who make mistakes...which we all do. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and his teachings. Every word in the book is uplifiting and will lead you to the Lord if you prayerfully study it...
I know Joseph Smith translated the book from ancient gold plates through the inspiration of the Lord.

I know several Latter Day Saints, and it is my opinion that if you compare a controlled number of active Mormons with a controlled number of average, active ie. Baptists, protestants, Methodists, etc. I think you would find that Mormons are more likely to practice what they preach. as far as what I think about their religion, I feel like all Christian based religions were placed on this earth to do a certain job, each having its own place in the building of the kingdom of God, and each having its own role in the end of times.

I dated a guy who was mormon and I had a hard time understanding why they believed in the things they believed in. There are alot of things that they say are inappropriate but I couldnt follow. One that really bothered me was that if I were to have converted to marry him my parents and family (who are not mormon) would not have been allowed in the see the ceremony. I'm very family oriented and I had a big problem with that. In the end he ended up cheating on me (premarital sex!! thats a BIG NO NO!!) and got her PG (BIG NO NO TOO) before they got married. Not a fan of this religon and will not be dating ever again who is not a Christian. (PERSONAL PREFERENCE!!)

The church is within every denomination throughout the entire world.

We who are in Christ Jesus have become a “new” creature (Gal.6:15, 2 Cor.5:17 below). We have BECOME the church of God (1 Cor.10:32, 1 Cor.1:2, 1 Cor.15:9, Gal.1:13 below), Jesus’ living body (Col.1:24 below).

No matter which denomination one attends, the living body of Christ is there.

Gal.6:15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (2 Cor.5:17 below).

2 Cor.5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (Gal.6:15 above): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 Cor.10:32Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Col.1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body's sake, which IS the church (1 Cor.10:32 above).

1 Cor.1:2Unto the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above) which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

1 Cor.15:9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above).

Gal.1:13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above), and wasted it:

Eph.2:16And that he might RECONCILE BOTH (Jews and Gentiles) unto God IN ONE BODY (the church of God - 1 Cor.10:32 above) by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Many Swedenborgians believe that the founder of Mormonism - Joseph Smith - took the idea of marriage in heaven and the three heavens from Emanuel Swedenborg who was very popular reading in the early 1800s.

i believe everyone has a right to their own beliefs. if you want to know the facts about a religion go to the source. if you search on yahoo or google for mormons you will find a lot of stuff that is anti mormon. the best places to go on the web to know more is either www.lds.org or www.mormon.org

Honestly, I think some of their beliefs are a bit far-fetched, but Mormons are among the nicest people I've ever met. I don't care what they believe in. They're awesome!
