It's been 5 weeks since I gave birth. I still have ten pounds to lose. I was a 4 before and now I'm a 10. Will I ever fit back into a 4?

Every woman is different. My sister in law is a size smaller now than she was before she gave birth. She breast fed and ran on a treadmill. I'm about 10 lb. heavier now than I was before giving birth to my first son (I have two boys.) and actually, I'm pretty happy this way. I have more curves now than I did, and look more feminine and womanly. God didn't create us to be sticks...

Certain things probably won't change. When your hip joints spread (when labor is near) I don't think they go back to being as narrow as they were before. Also, all women I know who have children all have a small "pooch" in front where there uterus is. Just be thankful that you have a healthy, happy baby and that you don't have 100 pounds to lose. 10 lb. is nothing. (Unless you were a chihuaua. In that case, you'd probably be considered morbidly obese.)

I gave birth 2 years ago. After my son hit about 5 months of age my body started to return to its pre-baby shape. I think your body has to get over the shock of being pregnant and giving birth. That takes a few months. I am certain you'll be looking & feeling like yourself again in a couple months!

I know I will never be in the size I was in before kids, My hips were pushed out but that's all good by me. I wouldn't trade my kids for anything including pre pregnancy body!! Just walk, eat healthy, drink lots of water and most things go back to as good as there going to get!!

I still working on my pre pregnancy body and my girl is 18 months old. I have tried everything to working out for 1hour and walking, I don't think I will ever get back to the body I had.

My daughter is 15 months old now, and I was about to where I was before I got prego again with my current baby. All I really did was I breatfed as long as I could and stayed active. I hear eating healthy helps too, but I'm not the worlds greatest at "healthy eating".

5 weeks! Relax enjoy your baby and forget about being a size 10 (not that there is anything wrong with that!)

You will get back to your regular size with time and perseverance. You will probably find that your body shape has changed though and some bits will be really hard to get rid of!

Just look at your little angel wasn't he/she worth it?

My daughter is two and I still haven't lost it. I have tried everything. I even run almost five miles a day and just still can't get any results. I guess the human body just changes after giving birth.

Your body will never be exactly the way it was. But don't be dicscouraged. Some women actually like how they look after child birth .I know with me my breast got like twice their normal size and I was curvier. Just take care of yourself and that baby and the rest will be alright.
Good Luck

Maybe or maybe not. Your body changes after giving birth and with age.
