Ive been on a diet for about two weeks.
I only eat Cearel with little or no sugar vegatables and my favorite tuna in a can no oil just water with about two tablespoons of miracle whip and onions with lemon juice with a couple crackers with no salt on them.if we dont have tuna in the house i dont eat ive dropped about 4 or 5 lbs, which is a lb a week which is healthy. My mom says its not healthy Im also biking, walking and doing pilates for excersize I eat this for dinner and lunch and cereal for breakfast and a vagetable for a snack to munch if i get hungry later on the day I also only drink water i dont drink pop or juice Im not going to eat straight tuna for the rest of my life just for about a couple months til i drop some extra pounds then maintian the weight by still eating a low fat diet just other things than tuna I want to know if anyone has ever done a similar diet to this or if anyone knows if it will harm me by eatin this to much or not getting enought nutrion or anything

You've got the right idea with the biking, walking, and pilates. Cut down on the overeating of the tuna, totally unhealthy. You've definitely got the drive to lose the weight, so replace the tuna in the morning with some egg whites/mulitgrain bread for toast, or even oatmeal. Toss in some ground turkey or chicken where you were eating tuna prior. They're just as good a source for lean proteins. Once a day, tuna is ok. Not 3 times/day.

I too am on a tuna a day. But it should only be taken once a day! Tuna especially in can are prone to mercury poisoning. Once a day n no more after that. I use it for protein..i eat it straight from the can after working out. I too also stoppped drinking anything but water. It's all water for me. Also, ur right on the button...water based tuna is the way to go..since it's full of protein n not much else.

Good job on losing the pounds. remember, 1 can a day!

Well, the only bad point I can think of with your plan, is that canned tuna has mercury. It's in minute amounts to be sure, but, if that's all you're eating as a protein source, it WILL build up in your system. You need to vary your protein intake a bit. try chicken breast, or something of that nature.

fad diets are not the thing. steady intake of all good foods. good eating and excercise plan always works out better in the long term. this becomes a habit you see.
