From our Fine Gun Room here is a Silver Seitz 12 Gauge Trap Gun. Heritage Grade English burl walnut stock and forearm. Checkering is fleur de lis pattern with a right hand palm swell. The 34 inch full choke barrel is equipped with a fixed 80/20 rib. It is marked (1 1/2" high) on the bottom of the breech. Adjustable comb, adjustable Kick Eez recoil pad. Fitted factory Aluminum Premium Grade Americase. As gorgeous as this gun is, the true test of the Silver Seitz gun is its proven performance. With the gun's excellent balance, low recoil and reliability the Silver Seitz complements your style, form and desire to be the best. Combined with the gun's quality craftsmanship, precision components and custom fitting, the Silver Seitz equips the trap shooter for the challenge of competitive shooting. Silver Seitz guns are 100% American made one at a time by AIM Inc., one of the nation's leading manufacturers of precision components and assemblies for military and commercial use. AIM takes great pride in producing the Silver Seitz gun with uncompromising standards of quality. This gun is a year and a half old and has been gently used. Condition is NRA excellent, 95% or better. The wood is in great shape, with no scratches or dings. The line that appears in the photo of the forearm is part of the grain structure of the wood and is not a crack. The receiver does have some very light scratches on the removable side plate, but these could be polished off if desired.

This piece was going for around $12,000. My idea for you is to keep a hold of it until you can do some research into it and get the fair market price. Not what some side of the road pawn shop, or dingy gunshop that just wants to screw people out of money.

The Seitz trap gun is different from the silver Seitz. The original Seitz gun which I think is what you have, was built by the inventor, Tom Seitz. Only about 45 were made. Tom died in a tragic accident in 1989 or so. The right to build the gun was sold and made as the silver Seitz. Hard to say what the value is without seeing the actual gun, but I would estimate it is worth around $20,000.

Silver Seitz is a VERY expensive gun!! I would try getting a hold of Jaqua's in Findlay ohio. OR your nearest Cabela's. Have it appraised before doing anything!!! Very nice gun!!! Definetly deal with someone who is knowledgable about trap guns!!
