By Jesus' second commandments I assume you mean, matthew 22, love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. The first five of the ten commandments has to do with your relationship with the Lord- these five tell you how to love the Lord your God with all your heart sould and mind- including honor your parents- your relationship with your parents mirrors your relationship with the Lord. The next five have to do with the way you relate to other people- love your neighbor as yourself. These commandments tell you how to 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you' Jesus did not change or remove the commandments- He just summed them up- if you love the Lord as you should then you will follow the first five without difficulty and if you love your neighbor as yourself then the next five will come naturally as well.
He wanted us to understandthat we were not following them out of fear or to be mindless robots, but we will follow them if we are walking in love- then we will want to obey

The 10 commandments as such are not binding today, but are covered by the 2 commands given by Christ. If you look at the 2 sets of commands, you'll see an interesting parallel. OT commandments 1-4 cover essentially the same ground as the 1st command from Christ (loving and serving God) and OT commandments 5-10 are covered in Christ's 2nd command (loving your neighbor as yourself). If we're keeping Christ's commands, we'll be taking care of everything covered in the 10 commandments (except for #4- the Sabbath, which was not carried over to the new covenant; now we are to gather on the 1st day of the week).
The next thing to remember is what is meant by loving God with all the heart, soul & mind: By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2-3) This means obeying the commands given in the New Covenant!

The relationship is that the commandments are infinite and revolving commands. If you love your God, the Father then everything else falls in place as well as the 2nd commandment. The 10 were used to keep te Jews clean and help in structure. When Jesus died, the Mosaic Law died and thus Christians are under a new law or 2 commandments. The other 8 commandments are good to follow, but we arent obligated under that law. Our law should be written on our hearts, not in tablet form.

Hum . . .let me start with 10 C. The first 4 is the relation between God and man, and the last 6 is man to man.
Let's turn to Jesus 2 C, the first is God to man, and the second is man to man. It fits isn't it?
Hum. . . is it that simple? Yes of cause.
Who says? John, Paul, James etc.
Let me take a portion, just to make it siimple. Paul in Rom 13 says, if there is love, we will not steal, we will not rob, we will not harm. So love covers all. (in my own words)
John in his epistle revolved his teaching around loves, and mix it with man to man relation too.
Looking back in OT again, Lev 19 is a classic example. The entire chapter is about holy living. Holiness is not only doing spiritual matters. But also how we treat our neighbours.
When you read Lev 19, you will find almost in every spiritual instruction, there's an instruction for human relations. Thus, in God's eye, holiness is not just doing spiritual matters in the church, but also about wherther I clear the rubbish my wife ask me too. Have I help to keep the neighbour's cloth when it rains etc.
The commandment is the basic rule for us to have a fulfilling relations, be it with God or with men.

The two commandments Jesus gave are the summation of the 10, Love God - The first four speak of how to love and worship God; Love your neighbour - The last six highlight how you should love and honor those around you.

The 2 are basically a blanket for the 10. The thing most people miss about the second of the 2 (love your neighbor as you love yourself) is this: It requires us to love ourselves. If we don't love ourselves we can't love others. So we are required by that commandment to find out how to love ourselves first.

Nothing really , except that the second"Love your neighbor as your self", spoke to the legalism in the Old testament church.
Jesus was beginning to help them understand there was no difference between Gentile and Hebrew, in the plan of salvation.
That God wanted a heart turned toward him and not pride based on trying to fulfill the "law".
Hebrews of that day held no association with non- Jews for they considered them unclean.

The first four of the ten commandments speak about LOVE FOR GOD. The last six commandments speak about LOVE FOR OUR FELLOW MAN.
The law is all about LOVE and can be summarized as:
" Whatever you find hatefull to yourself, do not do to
another".
