I want to play Shania Twain's "From this Moment On" when I walk down the isle. The entire song is 4 min 40 secs. Doesn't sound like a lot, but does it really take that long to walk everyone else down the isle? I'd have about 4 groomsmen/bridesmaids, flower girls and myself with daddy. Would I be able to get the whole song in? I was planning on cutting it in half, first half (slower half) in the beginning, then as we are exitting play the second half. Or do I have enough time for 2 songs? I also like Mary J's "Be Without You."

Any brides out there who can give me a good estimate? Suggestions? What did you do?

I have played piano for weddings for the past 27 years. I have never played for a wedding where the processional participants were not nervous. When people are nervous they tend to go fast. I would suggest considerably shortening the time of the piece.2 minutes would be the max I would go. Good luck!

I agree with Carolyn. It goes a lot faster than you think. I've played for weddings where the bride got down the aisle in less than 10 seconds! I would cut the song down to 2 minutes.

it really isn't any longer a situation in any respect. some ceremonies in reality very last quarter-hour and with better travellers. If it really is going to in reality be both of you, then have the priest insert tidbits about you personally and as a pair that he has talked about about both of you. this can upload a couple of minutes to the ceremony with out an ungainly silence. You both would also tell one yet another what you want or what the different brings out in you. or you may ask each and each figure to grant a short tale about both of you.
