To point out that few ppl actualy answered correct which at least means they read the bible, those who give one account probably never read it or did not understand. There are 4 acounts and all 4 are different and not by little like some said. Read it again and then lets have the answer.

Remember without that fact of resurection the whole teory of Jesus would be totaly wrong . Don't you think its one of the most important part of the bible to defend the religion. Everything is based on resurection and its amazing that so many Cristians have even no idea.

Read your Bible -- you've got 4 versions to choose from, and the alert reader will notice that they all slightly vary. Well, witnesses to any great event often vary a bit in the details, especially when some of the witnesses weren't even there.
When it comes to the Gospels, I prefer Matthew. In this instance, however, I'd go with John (simply because he was there).
Yes, of the 4 authors of the Gospel both Matthew and John were the only ones who were actually of the 12 Apostles. But Matthew never claims to have been first at the tomb -- John was (he even brags about how fast he ran !). That kind of detail impresses me that he recognized the importance of the event, and recorded everything clearly in his mind.

Mary Magdalene. And just as a side note, Jesus of Nazareth was a historical person. He did exist. Now, as to whether or not you believe him to be a prophet, Messiah or just a man, that's personal belief. But the physical events of his life actually happened. He was crucified on a cross.
