That's one with as many options as opinions. I've tried repelants-sprays and powder. Now we're using sonic motion detectors. That seems to work best. It costs about $40 for an electric one, battery ones are cheaper but the batteries don't last and 9 volt ones aren't cheap. We have a neighbor with 9 cats, half feral unfixed cats and it's a constant battle. We've trapped some and taken them to the humane society but mostly we just live with it. When it gets really gross I bag the crap and put the bag on her porch. Our cat comes in the house to use her box and most of the problem is in the front yard and flower bed and alos happens in the early morning or at night. They have learned NOT to come in the backyard. We chase them out if Isis doesn't get them first. She doesn't tolerate intruders.

We have the same problem.. cat repellents do not work, the motion sensor water sprinkler will work if you can set it up in the right spot.
We have done Cayenne pepper (rain/sprinkler/dew washes it away so you much reapply all the time)
Spray chemical repellents do not do a thing same reason as above.
I would if you are a male urinate into a container and pour/sprinkle it around the areas that are being effected.. this does work... the Pheromones in your urine will be stringer and therefor more dominant than the cats and they will leave.
I called or spoke with the neighbor about their cats and if they are disrespecting me and the cat issue and refuse to do anything then I call the animal control officer who placed have-a-heart traps in my yard trapped the cats and they were gone forever.
If you live in an area that has leash laws, it also applies to cats many times.. they carry disease and parasites, are a nuisance and become wild and over populated. I now own my own trap, trap the cats and hand them over to animal control myself. It is discusting and belong inside, if they can not properly take care of their pet then they shouldn't have one.

I cant really say if this will permanently keep them off the lawn but what my mother use to do is...Whenever she'd see cats on the lawn she'd run up to the second floor, fill a bucket of water & throw it at them (shock & splash effect perfect... if you get to splash them with it!!!). Once you do it a couple of times I think they will get the hint!!! SORRY CAT LOVERS BUT WHATEVER WORKS< WORKS!!!! Damn cats!!! hehehe

Major pet stores sell a product that will deter cats from coming into your yard. It does work!

Repellent sprays from a pet store work sometimes.
There is also a sprinkler you can get with a motion detector. Look for it at pet stores or on the internet.

You tell your neighbors to keep their cats indoors where they belong or you will call the humane society to have them remove the cats.

you have to spread your own urine around the yard.
this way they smell that you have marked your territorry.
they will no longer cross your pee.....
now if they are male cats and you are a female them you could
actually attract more male cats by the smell of your female pee...
so maybe get your boys friend to pee in your yard to scare away
male cats,
and you pee in your yard to scare away female cats.....
anyways have fun doin it, try spelling your name.......
you;ll see it will work !
