Would be so primitive to fall to human level and have human sins like jelouasy? He who create the universe would just simply flood the planet? Tell Izraelties i give you the promissed land ,go and kill every child, female and manand take it what i prommised you? Does it really God or just terrible human stupidity? If some would be writing bible today do you think they would do it the same?

"I think you should learn how to use spell check or learn how to spell before you belittle or degrade anyone or their beliefs. DUH! "
When all arguments are failing, ppl trying to go after the spelling. I guess Jesus will be judging those ppl based on spelling. Dahl

Interessting point
" Essentially you're telling God, I deserve more. God does not covet. You know why? Because He has need of nothing. "
You kidding me right? If he had need of nothing he would not have us or you who would worship him.

I dont think you can honestly look at god as a physical creature. God is an idea. God would be a jealous and cruel back in the times of the ancient people, that is the way they lived. People created god. God did not create people..

ask yourself...would there even be a god if people did not exist?

and if so, who would even care about him? animals dont "talk to god".

> God doesn't show primitive human sins like jealousy (God is incapable of sin). He is the Supreme Being, and is not required to share His majesty or glory with any other thing in existence. Nor should He have to. So, when mankind sins by giving that worship (attributing His glory and majesty) to someone or something else (like an idol), it is perfectly within His rights and realm to exact retribution for that sin.

People seem to forget that God is not only a God of LOVE, He is also a God of JUSTICE - and His Justice is exact, just as His Love is all-encompassing. We, as finite, lacking humans, cannot understand these concepts as God does, but the things He does are fully thought out as He sees them, looking at them in the "big picture", taking into account all other aspects, all other avenues of what might occur, all other options and occurances, so that the best is always done for the greatest number, even though we can't see it that way. We can't possibly see how a (simple-looking) act committed today can utterly destroy the lives of thousands in ten years time - but God can, and has to make His decisions based on such things.

God is omniscient - all-knowing. That means more than just that He knows everything. It means that He knows not only everything that DOES happen, but that He knows everything that COULD happen, and that WILL happen dependant upon each and every decision made by each and every one of us. He knows how everything will turn out for every choice we make, and He tried to get us to make the best and proper choices for us, those that will lead us down the best path for us, to the best place for us. Of course, we don't always listen, which is where we get into trouble.

absolutely... think about it, if I had a handful of pickup sticks and tossed them onto the floor, what are the chances of each stick lining up in perfect balanced distances from eachother? If you look at many scientific phenomonons, they have proportions that are not simply 'accidents'. There has to be intelligence behind it. Plus, the Bible wasn't written by man alone, it was inspired. And the Bible, despite modern critics, is historically correct. There are thousands of ancient documents proving it's validity.

There's your problem. You assume man made the Bible. They were only instruments. You ascribe to God sins, but you don't understand why these are sins in the first place. Why is jealousy a sin? Notice, it directly isn't. The sin is covetousness--wanting what someone else has that doens't belong to you. THAT is the problem. Essentially you're telling God, I deserve more. God does not covet. You know why? Because He has need of nothing. There is no sin involved. Jealousy in this sense is not wanting something of someone else's that doesn't belong to you, but wanting something that is rightfully yours that has been taken, or in this case has gone away.

Yes I do believe that God created everything in the Universe and everything around it. The devil created jelousy, lieing, stealing, cheating, murder, incest, and everything evil. These are temptations that the Lord allows the devil to tempt us to test our faith in him. Although, the wrath of God is something we do not want to deal with. When God flooded the earth he had Noah to build an ark to hold two of every animal and reptile and Noah's family because they were the only ones that served the Lord with no questions as to why.
The Izraelites were sinners that wouldn't believe in the Lord, they were curuped in sexual pleasures- insest, men with men, and women with women. A bad seed will only produce bad seeds. We are to raise our children to know the Lord and the Izraelites weren't.
I believe if a bible was to be written today, God would send down his wrath for all the unbelievers who has heard his word and still refused to obey his commandments.

Apparently you need to do a little more Bible study before you start taking things out of context.

And yes, I do believe in an intelligent God (and one that uses a spell-checker before posting questions like yours!).

I also believe that God gave us free will.
To dump the blame on God is not only lame, it is ignorant (as opposed to an intelligent God).

Humans need to take responsibility for their actions...and not blame some Supreme Creator for the problems we created.

HAHAHA NO I SURE DON'T. I mean, sorry, but the idea of some higher being sitting up there perched on a cloud and waving a wand around to create the world, PUHLEEEEEZE. I'm amazed every day that there are actually adults who believe this fairytale against overwhelming scientific facts.

Yes, God flooded the planet to get rid of those who sinned and continue to live sin even when warned. Israelites continue sin, complain, and murmur even when God blessed them and guided them to the promise land.Humans are incompetent to think a loving God would put up with sin continually and especially when he had given his all and blessed them abundantly. You reap what you sow. If you sow evil,Evil went be returned to you! God is a good and He don't play games especially with sinners and those who straddle the fenced. God's Judgment Day will be here for you know it!

God did create the universe and everything within it. gosh, read the Bible! theres a reason for everything God did.
Sin- we caused it. in the garden of eden. God provided for adam and eve and told them what they couldnt eat and what they could eat. they couldnt eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:8-9). but they were tempted by the devil (satan) and ate from it and theyre eyes were opened to sin (Genesis 3) and they were sent out of the garden.
Why did he come down to earth to live among a bunch of scum bags like us?- ok first of all even though He came down to earth and lived like us he didnt no have sin. He was without sin and blame. and the reason He came down to earth was to save us. He's offering us a chance to be forgiven of our sins. if He hadnt come down there wouldnt be a second chance for any of us. He loves us and wants us to live with him. (John 3:16-17) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, tht whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." (18-21).
He didnt just simply flood the planet. everyone had turned from God. He saw how great their wickedness was and it made him sad and hurt so he decided to wipe them out. but He saw there was still one more person who still loved Him so He gave us a chance to start over. He saved him and his family from the flood and they started over agian.
Things were different back then. He wanted them to kill the people because He was furious with them. they were sooo evil and despised Him soooo much and no matter what He did they would not listen or turn to Him.
And for your info. God told people what to write. it didnt just pop up in there minds. so technically God wrote the Bible... not us.

"On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. (The Noble Quran, 5:32)"
