okay i kissed this boy and i really really really liked it then he picked me up for a min but then put me back down. now i am only 14 now i know thats a little young but so i love him.
so what i am trying to say is how do you know when you are "ready" to take or go to the next step.
i think i should wait until i am 17 but i think i am ready now so how do know when you are?????

I know that you think you are ready, and you being the smart girl that you are, you have already gave urself an age to have sex, try to wait until you are a little older, sex is that big of a deal, u catching a disease or evern getting pregnant should be your biggest fear. You might feel like you are ready but you will feel like that with the next boy, if you feel like you are ready make him wait !!! And see if he is real patient and if he cares about you !!

Go with your first instinct, 14 is way too young! Personally, I think 17 is even young but better than 14. You still have a lot of growing to do and sexual maturing to do, don't you want your first experience with sex to be amazing? Than let your body grow and develop so you can experience sex the way it is meant to be expereinced...between adults! I know you are "in love", but you know what...at your age this amazing boy may do something tomorrow that would be a total turn off to you and than how would you feel. Plus, at your age boys tend to brag about their conquests and you don't want that to happen.
You were smart enough to stop and seek out advice and at least opinions regarding what is going onin your life, that should in itself tell you something. Trust me, I have friends that lost their virginity at 13 and some waited until their 20s! Universally throughtout the few women who I know that did not wait their biggest reget is that they DID IT TOO SOON.
Think about this for one minute....you can only truly give yourself to a man once. ONE TIME, that is it! And at 14 do you think that this boy is the one that you want to give this most amazing gift to? Think of all the boys and men you have yet to meet. And think about your future husband.
OK, I know I'm putting a lot on your plate to think about right now but honey, you can kiss and hug and hand hold and that is being very intimate and sexy! Save yourself for a while longer, you won't regret it!

Everyone is being so harsh but they dont think back to how they felt when they were 14. Your feelings are normal but you definately need to wait a while. Many times when you make that next step it really doesnt end up being a step but a slide into something you really wernt anticipating. You could end up with god knows what or pregnant. You are way too young to be getting so wrapped up and involved with someone. You have your whole life ahead of you and you need to enjoy that first. I know that doesnt change the feelings you have inside but its ultimately up to you. But you need to slow down and take a step back.

You are not stupid! Just make sure you know what you're doing and who it's with. I think that if you have to ask a bunch of people that you don't know if you're ready then...I doubt you are. But if you want to go a step further make sure it's with a guy you can trust and love because you never know what could happen.
