I believe people truly cherish that which they say they believe and I think it is a good thing for the name to be spoken in that a person can seek for their self the Truth about Love. Love is invisible as well as the concept and or reality of things we cherish so, There is a power that need be recognized, how ever it is being developed in whatever means necessary.
It should all come out in the wash.
Supposed to, annnnyway..."all things work for the good..."

Let's separate Jesus from what people do in his name.
i support the idea of questioning Christian dogma. If it hold up under pressure, it has value. If people make a big stink about it, it's questionable at best. The fact that the Christian communities have protested so loudly against this movie and that there is a market for the items you mentioned should make everyone stop and think.
There is definitely something to be explored here.

Oh, I don't know. I think, deep down, there's a kernel of piety underneath all the commercialization. . . if there weren't, why would anybody buy the things? And I would rather His name be constantly in front of people, so that they have reason to be reminded of Him at least now and then. It might possibly make them think about that deeper message, when they get to a point in their lives that they need to hear it. I'd rather Him be adored for shallow reasons than to be paid no attention at all. Faith has to begin somewhere, and maybe for some people that's a good seed.

"Christian is the thing to be"
djmoe is partially right. but half of the people have learned that christianity is not for them anymore, faith is a very personal subject, as one person may be happy being christian(i dont see how or why - ive been down that road and it wasnt fun) another person may like Hinduism Buddhism or other forms of Paganism.
Everywhere I go, I saw Christianity popping out at me. Magazines, books, churches, etc. It was as if Christianity was saying to me, "I'm still here! I'm not letting you go so easily!"

Good question. There are many who just attend and Put in Time, many who pray in church and AM-Pm at home, fewer who pray and wait on the Lord for an answer, and then very, very few who the Lord "reveals" himself to them so they can experience eternal purity. Pray with ALL of your heart and mind and soul. Then be STILL and KNOW and you will advance from mere believing to Seeing-Knowing.

Yes, I agree. I have blind faith and had it before all this hype about His personal life came out. My relationship with Him is personal, so I don't care what others think.

Religion has always been "big business" .. it just irks the churches when someone other than themselves gets in on the racket.

Those who care only about making money will use whatever they can to make money, no matter how sacrilegious or disrespectful it is to the beliefs of others.

Yes Jesus is way too commercial...most people today are only "faux Christians" anyway. "Christian is the thing to be"
