I love this question. The answer is no.

My mom taught me this poem when I was a young woman. It might fit your situation.

"To keep a marriage brimming,
With love in a loving cup,
When you're wrong, admit it.
When you're right, shut up."

The fact is, when you love someone and you are argueing you have to ask yourself, is it more important to be right or to be loving or loved by this person. If being right means hurting them, be wrong. Being loved and loving is always more important.

Yes, I frequently do. Most of the women around me respect me and my point of view enough to at least hear me out. After that either one of two things happens:
One-They see the validity of my p.o.v. and aquire it themselves.
Or
Two-They prove me wrong.
I've never really had to worry about repercussions...When your wrong admit it. When they're wrong they should admit it.
Any even moderately intelligent person should behave in this manner, if not they probably haven't matured.

No you have to take a dive. The smart thing to do is go a few rounds with her, because Women do like to fight. But then by the 11th round you need to take a dive. It makes her feel good and she at least respects you.
