It's not hard to believe in God, all you have to do is accept Him and believe-it's that simple.

On the other hand the devil tempts us daily with many worldly pleasures, and things that look and seem good. But once you have God in your life it is easier to say No to the devil, and live a life more pleasing to God. It won't always be a smooth ride, you will still be tempted and you may stumble and fall but God will always be there to help you back up and He will give you the strength you need to fight the temptations of the devil.

Unfortunately, we live in a fallen world and the devil is on a long leash. God is good all the time and wants us to be who he designed Him to be, and even though we know this many people let the world get in the way of God, especially since God usually calls us to things greater and higher than we're comfortable with. A lot of people think that this life should be all joy with no sacrifice, and although learning to be joyous is great, if we don't "Take up our cross daily" then what have we really done for good? Still, I am thankful that God knows me and knows my heart and even though I am trying, I am yet a sinner, but even so I am graced by Him and that along keeps me looking back to God. Blessings,

Brian

Because believing in God means having faith that something's there you can't see, touch, feel, smell, or anything. Satan makes everything in this world seem so wonderful; it makes it very hard to say no to things that make you "feel" good in the here-and-now. Believing in God means being willing to go through some hard times for eternal pleasure, rather than going with what feels good now, for however long.
People's physical beings are drawn to what feels good, that's a part of being human. God encourages us, and is here to help us, not follow those "good feelings" but go by what our spiritual being knows is right.
Here's an easy way to think of it...junk food, greasy food, bad food tastes great, but in the end, it clogs your arteries, can give you diabetes, and eventually can kill you; but at the time, you're not thinking down the road, all you know is that it tastes good. Eating healthy food that's usually not good tasting and grose to eat helps keep your body going and can help you live longer, but it's hard to eat those things, even though you know that the end result is the best thing for you.

Because believing in God requires control, whereas doing what pleases the devil requires no control. It is easier to drop a rock to the earth, but not so easy to make it rise from the earth to your hand.

It's not hard to believe in God. And you can resist the devil once you believe in God.

Two words "the Flesh". Sin is imbedded in us.the only way to get rid of it is to ask God to clean us every time we do it. God knows we are not perfect and that one way or another we will sin but the whole point is that even though we fall, we still need to get up and keep on going. As long as you believe in God no matter how small and as long as you try to serve him in Spirit and in Truth, forsaking the lusts of the flesh then the Lord will be with you and you need not worry about your own flesh or the devil. Just BELIEVE and OBEY and Jesus will always be with you. Read the word it will help.

Because God wants you to walk a straight and narrow path back to him. The devil just wants you to step off of that path in any direction.. even a little bit. God lets YOU decide what to do, he tells you through prophets what to do. The devil knows what is wrong and he finds ways to make you think that those things are right to do because your physical body LIKES to do some of them. We are not Physical beings having a spiritual experience, we are Spiritual beings having a physical experience!!

The word is Choice! You and only you are responsible for your Life. Sometimes we make good choices and at other times not so good choices. We fight a battle daily with good and not so good. Our DNA has two strands-Positive and Negative. There is an Intelligence that operates through us through something called Universal Law-The Law of Being. It is activated by our words, thoughts and actions. Another way of saying it, is we have a dual nature, one of emotions and feelings and one which is Spiritual. We make choices dependent on our learning and experience.Your choices will ultimately define your life in the Future. If you do not like your life now, then change your Mind and your life will also change, make better choices and think before you act, which is hard to do sometimes, especially when we are younger!

There is a clear contradiction here. If one does not believe in god how can "the devil" factor in at all. Isn't the concept of "devil" the other half of the duality of the religions that are familiar to us?

It's not hard to believe in God. Once you do and start ignoring the devil your life will suddenly become much easier.
