If you are working out safely and eating healthy foods you may be gaining muscle mass which of course weighs more than fat by volume. Don't worry about your weight, what is important is your body fat % which tells the real story of your health and fitness.

You may be gaining muscle which weighs more than fat does. That could be why you are not losing weight. Another possibility is when you are eating during the day. If you eat anything at night you don't have the time to burn off the calories before you go to bed.

If you're truly worried about the overall weight, cut back your gym (weights)work and increase your cardio.

Also increase lean protein intake...IE, tuna, chicken, eggs while lowering carb intake a little. Increase your fluids, staying properly hydrated works wonders for your metabolism. You'll notice some weight loss initially just by altering your diet.

Otherwise, keep up the healthy lifestyle. Chances are you already have more energy and naturally are a little more upbeat about life. Exercise doesn't just work physically, its fitness for your mind as well.

What kind of exercise are you doing? If you're not sweating during it, you're not working hard enough. Change your drinks (especially if you drink diet sodas) to water only. Just avaiding sweets may not be enough. Try keeping a food journal so your know exactly what you're eating. There's a great food tracker at www.flylady.net under the "Body Clutter" section. Good luck!

Are you eating fruit? Fruit is full of sugar, as are tomatoes. Go on a high protein, low carbohydrate diet. Eat fish, eggs, chicken, occasional lean beef or pork, low fat cottage cheese. Stay away from regular cheese, no bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, peas, beans (except green beans). No fruit and no fruit juice (it's sugar water, my dr says). Cut down on carrots and tomatoes (included ketchup). Use mustard instead of mayonnaise in recipes. Eat lots of salads, green vegetables. Salads only have one tablespoon of dressing for the whole salad. No ice cream, or other desserts. 8 glasses of water a day. No caffeine

What type of exercise are you doing? You are probably replacing fat with muscle, which weighs more so it is keeping your weight the same.

maybe you don't have any extra weight to lose. 12 hours is a lot of exercise, I wonder is it strenous enough to give your cardiovascular system a good work out?

Go to your doctor and make sure your metabolism and all your other functions are working properly. He can tell you specific exercises for your body type and age. If he cant..go to a nutritionalist in your town.
