The greatest Asian would be Gichin Funakoshi, the modern day father of Karate.
Bruce Lee was a great Martial artist but there is alot of hype involved with him over the years. Jackie Chan makes very good movies and is a great stuntman but the greatest martial artist? Don't think so.

well...out of da modern martial artists, i would say bruce lee is one of da greatest. bcos of his strength, speed, effectiveness etc.
but also there r great martial artists like 33rd soke takamatsu, hanshi.frank dux, hatsumi masaaki.
but still, there hav been very much better martial artists in ancient japan and china and so on. even 2day, some great martial artists remain unknown.
da greatest martial artists r produced by arts dat involve deep states of mind and body such as ninjitsu and kung-fu

there are many that are good but you will have to go back to the fuduel japan and the dynasty in China to find the best of all time. As of mordern martial artest i would say bruce Lee

there are a lot of good martial artists you've guys mentioned already, but i would stick with bruce because of his ability to use all his energy so effectively. when he would shoot movieshe would have to slow down his moves because he would move so fast it looked like special effects.

Wesley Snipes is REALLY REALLY good, so is jackie Chan, and Jet Li, and Bruce Lee, they are all very good, you cant really pick just one because each and every one of them have their strong points and weak points, most of them know differnt forces of martial arts. So its very hard to choose
