8f = 32+ 4f (divide both sides by 8)
f = 4 + 0.5f (move the f's over, by subtracting 0.5f)
f - 0.5f = 4 (simplify)
0.5f = 4
Therefore if 1/2 f = 4, 1f = 8, f = 8.
The answer is c. Hope that helps!
(Ooh I forgot. Not necessarily a good idea to input the answers into the equation to find an answer. You need to work out how to problem solve. In life it isn't always multiple choice!)

you can try each equation. if F=6, 48=32+24.
F=7, 56=32+28
F=8, 64=32+32
The answer is C.8

substitute (f) with one of the numbers :
A.6
8(6)=32+4(6) : then solve the problem
8*6=48
48=32+4(6)
4*6=24
48=32+24:incorrect so use another number to make the problem correct.

8f = 32 + 4f
A. (8x6=48)=(32+4x6=56) so it doesn't come out
B. (8x7=56)=(32+4x7=60) so it doesn't come out either
C. (8x8=64)=(32+4x8=64) so this one comes out even
Sometimes it's just a matter of working the equation with the different answers to find the correct one.

you move the 4f to the other side and convert it to negative which becomes 4f and then divide 4 with 32 which equals 8. or f=8. i think. :)
