That depends on where the hole is. I would take the two gallon because it does hold more water and if it's a bucket of course it has a hole in it, the entire top is open. : )

Either, by the time u get to the zoo u still got one gallon of water either way, cos the pail that has got a hole in it with two gallons of water would probably have leaked about a gallon of water all the way to the zoo.

the hole in the pail allows it to contain water. The watertight bucket couldn't hold any.

Carry them both , pack your lunch in the 2 gallon one and fill the 1 gallon bucket with beer , you'll have a grand old time
