You are dealing with tape worms, they are white vary in length and look almost like rice.
Do not use store bought dewormers, they usually don't work and in many cases can cause harm if not death to your cat.
Call your vets office and see if they dispense some DRONCIT tablets one pill for every 10 lbs. of cats weight.
these pills are made just for this type of problem, their is no side affects what so ever except the cat may have a loose stool the day after treatment since the pill dissolves the worms.

This problem usually is caused by kitty ingesting live fleas, either by grooming themselves or eating since fleas like to stay around the mouth area.

Wouldn't hurt to de flea your cat with some ADVANTAGE works great fo me.

That's not normal.I think you should take your cat to the vet, before it gets any worse.Worms can even cause death.
My grandma in Mexico had a dog who had worms coming out of it's ears, nose, and butt.It sounds funny but the poor dog was suffering because the worms were "eating" the dog little by little. My grandma didn't have money to take i tto the vet.I didn't say much cuz I thought that was normal. If you really love your cat, take it to an animal doctor ASAP.The worms are living in your cat and that is really deadly.Take care of yourself and your cat,
God Bless.

when u give the cat worming medicine... the worms have to come out somewhere, so the obvious way for them to come out would be in feces. walmart and other stores sell worming medicine for cats/kittens reasonably cheap. most of them is a once a month treatment. an alternative to that is taking the cat to the vet and having them get shots for worms.
those worms are just regular pin worms... and HUMANS CAN GET THEM FROM ANIMALS!!! so if ur cats have them, u possibly could too. ur doctor can give u a one time pill that will kill them in humans if u end up getting them.

Do these white worms shrink up and look like rice? If so, it is tapeworm. Regular wormers will not kill them. The generic form of what the vet uses is called Praziquantel. Most pet stores are carrying it now.

the over the counter wormers are not broad spectrum they only kill one type of worm you need to take a stool sample to the vet to find out what kind of worms these are and the vet will deworm the kitty
obviously he has a heavy infestation or you wouldnt see them like this.. one time (I was working for SPCA) we had a kitty so heavy with worms that she vomited them.. it was sick...
you should never get any kitten who hasnt been dewormed before you got it... if this kitty hasnt been to a vet you need to vaccinate it too.
dont cheap out on pet ownership - make sure kitty is spayed or neutered when old enough too - so it has fewer health risks

We have a kitten she had worms, tape worms and the onyl way to really get rid of them is to bring that poor cat to the vet now! Whay are you wasting your time on the internet when you should be taking care of you pet?!
Your cat may need two treatments a few weeks apart to get rid of them fully and be prepared to bring in a stool sample of the cats.

Do not screw around with this animals health, it depends on you to take care of it.. animals can die from worms and they can be contagious to humans!!!

Well there are so many types of worms. You can buy some medication to treat your cat or the best thing is to take it to the vet and have it checked out and make sure it's not sick.

Your cat needs to see a vet and get proper medication. Bring a sample of the worms so the vet can see exactly what kind they are.

my cat has those too. they're called tapeworms and they come from eating infected birds/rodents..there is some connection to fleas and tapeworms but i don't remember them exactly..your vet should have some medicine for the worms that will make them go away in like 2 or 3 days...

sounds like pin worms. get them to the vet so they can get some treatment. I don't know if the over the counter meds that they make for pinworms in humans is safe for cats. ask your vet when you call for an appointment.

p.s. don't listen to "wicked" down there. humans CANNOT get the type of pinworms that cats get. they are a completely different type of worm. "There are different types of pinworms, but only one affects humans. Dogs and cats also have pinworms, but they are different from the pinworms that infect people. Dog and cat pinworms cannot live in human beings, and pinworms cannot live in them so frequently heard warnings about 'catching' pinworms from the pet are not correct."
