It's not the best thing in the world but I think it also depends on the situation. Honestly, God places certain people in our lives for certain reasons. We wouldn't know certain people without meeting others right?? As long as you aren't dating them RIGHT AFTER they broke up and your friend is over them... then its okay.
At least that's how I see it...

how long since they broke up?? if not so long ago, watch out! these could spell disaster, so don't push it yet....are you sure they have gotten over each other completely?? this is really important because 1) you don't want to hurt your friend and lose the friendship; 2)you don't want to be used by the man just to spite his ex...so please, be sure of your situation....if the coast is clear and they are both ready to have a relationship with a different person, then go ahead date your friend's X...but be sure you make it known to her that you are because sometimes they would react negatively about it especially if the break-up was nasty...assure your friend that you are taking the responsibility about your decision of dating her X...you need to keep your relationship with this guy open to your friends because chances are you will be spending some time with the gang and with your girl friend too...remind this guy that you are different from your girl friend, so no comparison.....i hope well for you, good luck!

How would you feel if that happened to you by a close friend? It would be pretty awkward, right? So best leave this situation as-is before you lose a good friend.

wouldn't even go there. Even though it is an X that could still cause some friction. I think it's a girl thing, you just don't date someone that a close girlfriend dated.

it is very wrong. no matter if they say it is okay. that is a rule of friendship that you would not want to cross. you will loose your friend. maybe even find out why the friend made that person an ex. then you would have nobody.

Yes. This is your good friend. Do you want to risk the friendship that you have with them?

Even if you got consent from ur good friend, i doubt theyd b honest w/ you...I think askin ur friend if its ok to date their X is a waste of time.
Mayb u should ask urself how U would feel if ur good friend started seein ur X.? (e.k. watchin him w/ her; watchin him touch, giggle, kiss, whisper..etc..)
& How important is this dood to risk losin ur friendship? (there is a risk)
If my good friend started seein my X, I want to dip them BOTH in hot oil, repeatlyyyyy.
Good Luck!!
