My alltime fave is Petra. They were my "in" for Christian music when I needed something loud and clear.

Other faves are Casting Crowns, Audio Adrenaline and Apologetix ("That Christian Parody Band"). I even sang backup on the Apologetix live recording of All The Stalls Stink.

[Reply to a later comment - Carman concerts are always free of charge (you can pay for gold circle seating). Who charged you for a Carman concert? Carman would probably like to know since they're not supposed to do so. ]

Five Iron Frenzy WAS (they broke up) my favorite band. I liked their style of music. Plus they were a funny band.

if I were to say right now, I enjoy Todd Agnew. He has great songs.

"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

i actually like Terry MacAlmon (im only 20).

because, it doesnt matter what everyone else is doing, He will not change his style to suit listners or trends. He does only what the Holy Spirit says too...

and you can hear it in his music.

if you listen to his album "the sound of heaven"... you will be basking in the Holy Spirit for hours and hours.

its pure, true, un burdened, un mainstreamed worship.

beautiful :-)

Bob - ohmigosh i heard it a few weeks ago... the guys voice is bad, and its really old fasioned.. but MAN is it anointed! i cried and cried! it was great!

Quiet warrior - my two fave mercy me songs as well! :-)

Michael W Smith - his songs are loaded with compassion for the listener - like "This is your Time" or "Place in this World." And his interpretations of the big praise numbers on "Worship" were spectacular and emotional.

I also like MercyMe, Brian Doerkson, and Kathryn Scott.

Mercy Me--because of two songs "Word of God
speak" and "I Can Only Imagine"

Nicole C. Mullins--because of "Redeemer"

And Casting Crowns--because of the lead singer timbre.
