The priest would only give absolution if the guy turned himself in and confessed to the crimes. This would indicate true contrition, one of the requirements for forgiveness.
The seal of confession prevents the priest from divulging anything said during confession to anyone.

The priest would do what he does for every confession:
Assume the confessor is truly repentant and absolve his sins.
Having said that, the absolution granted by the priest is only valid if the confessor is honest in his request for forgiveness. God ultimately is the one who forgives sin. Just because one dupe's a priest doesn't mean one has duped God.
Priests are sworn to secrecy when it comes to hearing confession. It's called the "Seal of the Sacrament". Nothing, not even a court order can force a priest to reveal any information about anyone's confession - ever.
That means, even if someone gets away with commiting murder, but repents later on. The murderer can seek forgiveness in Confession and the priest will not report the sinner to the cops.
That might not make sense but, think about it. If there was no "Seal of the Sacrament", that means confessors risk having their sins become gossip amongst parishioners. And then, no one would go to Confession. That's bad.

Confessing means you have realised that you've done wrong. Everyone deserves a second chance and he is no different!
And that i am a Priest on top everthing, i need to forgive that person coz this is what THE HOLY BIBLE too says!!
