9 human years = 1 cat year.
7 human years = 1 dog year.
I know this for sure, since I learned it from a vet. And they should know.

My vet told me that every 1 year to a person is 7 years to cats. I guess it is all the same for the rest of animals as well.
I would guess it would be best to ask your vet.

It's 15 years for the first year, 9 for the second year, then 4 for each year after.
This scale was adapted about 2 years ago.

Cat years and dog years are stupid things that someone invented because they couldnt grasp the fact that animals have shorter life spans! 1 year is 1 year!

this is so funny, my wife read me a thing about this the other day, and i can't remember exactly how it goes but:
the cats first year is like 14 human years,
then the rest are like 5 years after that.
