I will make Mount Seir utterly desolate, killing off all who try to escape and any who return. I will fill your mountains with the dead. Your hills, your valleys, and your streams will be filled with people slaughtered by the sword. I will make you desolate forever. Your cities will never be rebuilt. Then you will know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 35:7-9 NLT)

Nice book. (If you’re a sadist)

(edit)
Why would the old testament be in the book if this god decided to change his cruel, voilent and hatefull ways. Then you shouldn't present the old testament to me. If I tell you "Hey man, here is the word or GOD, the creator of all the universe! He is all-knowing, all-powerful and all-present!!!! ..But why then is there a part in his word that doesn't apply to our time?? I thought he is all-present which would mean his word will be timeless.

In the New Testament it tells us that the days will get worse and worse. By the way how does the King James version and the new King James version of Ezekiel 35:7-9 word this verse?

Death of the flesh is not death of the entity that dwells there.

Are you God and judge?

Eze 35:7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
Eze 35:8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
Eze 35:9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

It is a prophesy that is based on how wicked the people of the area are. If they are not dealt with, then they will trample the weak and the righteous and make them suffer (for no other reason than because they can). If you wish to lead a life of evil, then you'd better be willing to pay the price. This prophesy can easily describe many civilizations that disappeared long ago (including the Incas, Aztecs and Mayans along with ancient India civilizations and cities to name a few). This prophesy has come to pass already many times over, and will come to pass again (history tends to repeat itself because we refuse to learn from it). As long as people become evil and full of themselves, this will continue to occur.

It's the promised punishment on an international level that was promised from the conception of the earth. Just as someone who commits murder in the U.S. is found guilty, and receive the death penalty or life in prison, so too, we, as humans, have been found guilty of sin and are intitled to the death penalty, and all eternity in hell. But if you continue reading on (if you haven't already) to the Gospels (which means good news), you'll find a way out of that sentence. God Bless.

Blaming God for things is like accusing the govenment of kidnapping people when they put them in jail for commiting crime, because the criminals are being held against their will. Yet the govenment lets its people know what the law is and the concequences for breaking the law. It is the individuals that choose to disobey and suffer the punishment. The same thing applies on an Eternal perspective.

I don't know if you are a parent, but when my daughter was 7 I had told her to never get out of the yard without telling me. One day she not only left the yard but we could not find her for hours. She had been told what would happen and believe me it did. After this she never disobeyed us again. God has told us in His Holy Bible what will happen if we don't repent and turn from our wicked ways. Think about it I'm sure it will come to you

God did not create us and and to mutilate us. He has already said, "we are under the influence of the Satan" so whatever is evil does not come from God. He warned Israel anytime they sinned that, they will be destroyed by their enemies.

Israelites happened to be the only worshipers of God in the past, so they were the only ones whom He punished when they deviated from doing only good deeds. For example, worshiping of Idols, as you see in some countries today.

Today, you and I can also become true friends of God called, spiritual Israelites. God's son, Jesus opened his arms and invited everyone from all corners of the earth to come and be God's worshiper. Those who do, get protection from all evil. Those who disown God, suffer many tribulations in the hands of the Satan, just as happened to Israel. Pray and ask for wisdom. Take your bible and read all of Proverbs. You will be wise. God bless you.

you cant just pick a few verses and go "OH I GOT HIM THIS TIME THE DIRTY RAT!"

the Bible is a spiritual book and fools cannot comprehend it. they read it like its always litteral.

God never inflicts stuff onto a nation or people, but He does tell of what will happen if they dont choose Him. the devil does the bad stuff, God warns that its coming.

your bible version is not very good. like i suggested, get a KJV or at least a NKJV.

You are quoting Old Testament Script. There is another section that gives us another view on things. Oh, by the way, God doesn't kill People, People kill People.
