I used a protection spell just the other day to repel negative thoughts and energy of other people from entering my personal space.

All you need is a white candle of any size, some matches, and common sense because you ARE dealing with an open flame. I used a tea-light candle simply because it wouldn't take forever to burn. But you can use any size you feel comfortable with.

Sit somewhere were you wont be disturbed. Sit on the floor, Indian-style, ground and center yourself. Do this by imagining a light of love, protection and healing, pulsating through the earth's core. Feel this ball of energy get bigger and bigger until it fills the earth. Now, imagine that a stream of that light has broken through the earth's crust and has found where you're sitting. Let the stream fill your entire body with it's energy - from your tailbone to the top of your head; through your arms and legs; fingers and toes.

Now you're ready for the actual spell. Visualize a bubble of protection surrounding you. Imagine it repelling all negative thoughts and energy from entering your personal space. Hold your candle and say these words or similar over and over again until you feel confident that your energy has soaked into the candle:

Thoughts of bane
I send you away
with the burning of this flame

Now, light the candle and leave it until it burns out. I always put my burning candles in my bathtub underneath something glass. Remember to check on your candle every so often to make sure it hasn't gone out or tipped over.

first if you are in danger or someone you know is seek help elsewhere than magick... then do the spell

for self protection I would do a simple cleansing and consecration on yourself if you need more than that you could empower a piece of jewelry like a ring or pentacle (or anything you can keep on your person)
