Be your own trainer and nutritionist, the basic rules to losing weight are no soda, no fast food, lots of chicken, fish, fresh (not canned that’s bad) fruits and vegies, whole wheat stuff, yogurt. Not so many cakes and donuts and cookies. Basic common sense for eating, you just need to enforce it. Get all the bad stuff out of the house right away, just toss it or give it away while your still motivated. No alcohol and no smoking if that applies. Some juice but make sure its all natural, because the ones that aren't are loaded with sugar and a leading cause in diabetes in children and adults. Lots of water, 3-4 liters a day, not all at once, but spread it out. Its really easy to down a liter or two while your watching tv or on the computer. Also drink some after you eat the bigger meals of the day, it helps your body pick out the nutrients in food when your food is more spread apart. You also need to stay away from any sports drinks unless you’ve just had a long workout and then you need to limit yourself. Most atheletes mix Gatorade with water because its two complex for your body to get all the nutrients out of. It needs to be diluted. These rules may be hard to adapt to at first so start with cutting out the things you know you can live without. Then work from there. Remember these are perfect eating habits, it can take you a while to work into it. If you know you can’t live without your one treat a day, don’t fight it by trying to eat something else, just eat it and make sure that’s the only one you cheat on a day. Otherwise you’ll get depressed and quit. Another important point is getting the right amount of sleep every night. You need 8-9 hours of sleep each night for your body to function correctly. This is an important factor of losing weight. Set up a routine for yourself and go to bed at about the same time each night.
As for exercise, lots of cardio. Find something you like. If you have never exercised much before, start with walking 30 minutes a day at a brisk pace. Move on to different terrains that include hills and increase the time spent. After a week or two, try jogging the route. No matter what find an activity you enjoy. Walking to jogging is just an example, try hiking, rollerblading, biking. Once you get into a regular routine, if your not happy with the level of difficulty, try signing up with a gym. Spinning, pilates or kickboxing classes are great. It will also introduce you to working with weights. Talk to a trainer for instruction before using any weights. A cheap investment is a balance ball, it works you stomach while your just sitting on it, like at your computer and its great for posture. There are hundreds of exercises you can use it for for your entire body. I can give you some ideas if you want, just email me. If you are looking to lose weight consistently and permanently you will find these 3 keys to success very helpful.
1. Create a "Diet for Life". A healthy diet that will give your body the nutrients it needs without a high caloric intake and also be satisfying for you to maintain for years or a lifetime. Try going to www.ediets.com for some help.
2. Just like your diet you should have a fun and interesting workout plan that you can do on an ongoing basis. Do the things that you like doing and it will be a lot easier to maintain.
www.fitnessonline.com
3. Persistance is probably the main key. Know that if you are doing 1 & 2 correctly then the results will come. Don't get frustrated if your not losing 20lbs in a week. Keep on working at it and in 3 months you will be healthy and well on your way to a perfect body.
Much Success to you!

You can try a lot diets, a crashdiet (lowcalorie) will be most effective to lose 10kg in a month. Although it"s more healthy to lose 2-3kg a month. And when you stop with the diet that helped you lose the 10kg, you'll easily get back to your former weight, or it might increase. Besides, most diets are not easy to follow for a longer period of time. A healthy diet should be a lifestyle change you can live by the rest of the life, losing approximatly 2-3 kg in a month, till you reach your (natural) ideal bodyweight

It's a pretty straightforward question of mass and calories. To lose 1 kg of mass, you need to remove 1 kg of something from your body. In terms of calories, 1 kg of fat stores roughly 6500 calories of energy, so you would have to burn 65,000 calories of energy more than you normally do in a month in order to lose 10 kg of mass. This means burning a bit more than 2150 calories a day more than you usually do. While this is difficult, it is not impossible. There are three things you can do:
1. First, try to determine the number of calories you usually consume in a day. If you're like most people, you probably consume between 2000 and 3000 calories a day, maybe more. You can restrict your calorie intake to 1000 calories a day and still remain healthy, so simply by dieting you could lose 1000 to 2000 calories per day if you do it faithfully. By the way, a 1000 calorie per day diet is pretty strict but not impossible - but there are other things in the food you consume besides calories that are important to you, such as vitamins. Any time you do a strict diet like this, you should also add vitamin supplements to your diet to make up for the vitamins you aren't getting through your normal intake of food.
2. Since this isn't enough, you would have to add enough additional exercise to your diet to burn the additional calories needed to make the needed 2150 calorie per day loss.
3. Most people cannot safely or faithfully do this significant of a reduced calorie/increased exercise combination enough to lose the weight you want to lose in the time you want to lose it, which is why you're going to get lots of people telling you it can't be done. The third factor, though is simpe mass reduction, which is the part that will be a temporary loss. In other words, you lose part of the weight as sheer mass, rather than calorie-storing fat. You do that in terms of losing some of the water in your body, which is heavy but contains no calories. Including mild diuretics in your diet, such as green tea, will help you eliminate more water each day than you take in, which will help you reach your goal. Be very careful here, though, because your body needs water and this is the part that could damage your health if you are too drastic in trying to lose your weight. DO NOT severely restrict your daily intake of water and DO NOT go overboard on using diuretics. Remember, this portion of the diet is only to supplement the loss you cannot get from the reduced calorie/increased exercise portion of the diet, and weight lost by this method will also return very quickly once the diet is ended. So make it your goal to lose as much of the desired weight as possible with the calorie/exercise portion.
Good luck, and
Peace,
Radical Geezer

Krista is full of crap:
"Some juice but make sure its all natural, because the ones that aren't are loaded with sugar and a leading cause in diabetes in children and adults. "
BS. Natural juices have sugar also. And there's no proven link between juice and diabetes.
"Lots of water, 3-4 liters a day, not all at once, but spread it out. Its really easy to down a liter or two while your watching tv or on the computer."
More BS. No proof that drinking water is helpful. All this is good for is making you pee a lot.
"Also drink some after you eat the bigger meals of the day, it helps your body pick out the nutrients in food when your food is more spread apart."
WHAT?? This is total crap. There is NO evidence to support this BS. (where does she get this?) Your body does NOT need extra water to "pick out" nutrients. What an absurd concept.
"You also need to stay away from any sports drinks unless you’ve just had a long workout and then you need to limit yourself. Most atheletes mix Gatorade with water because its two complex for your body to get all the nutrients out of. It needs to be diluted. "
More crap and BS. The science behind Gatorade has been going on for 30 years and there's NO evidence of any "need" to dilute it. It works just fine as-is. Again, your body does NOT need extra water to "pick out" nutrients.
Don't take diet advice from uneducated 19 year olds. It's full of myth and folklore, sadly lacking in truth and science.

hello dear, if you're seriously looking to lose weight, give tetrazene eS-50 a try. it's a little costly, so you can purchase the active ingredient, glucomannan, from vitacost.com. it's a natural fiber that supresses appetite and swells up in your stomach, which results in a more fuller feeling.
i say you purchase it for 10 bucks and experience the power of weight loss. and make sure you east and excercise sensibly...
btw, you don't need to worry about side effects because there are none. just make sure you drink a full cup of water with it one hour before meals...and not take it before bedtime, as it can swell up in you while sleeping. you don't want that...;-)
to purchase:

I've lost 7lbs. so far this month by cutting my calorie intake 1000 calories a day and running to speed up my metabolism. Its easier to eat whatever you wish and just keep it under 1000 cals a day. You'll get results in just days.
