I understand what you say about Americas, but we as Canadas, just hate to ruffle anyones' feathers so we just go with the flow. I'll agree with you, but while pondering the reality check of life, it goes like this.
You do wrong, your dad kicks your ***.
You swear, your dad kicks your ***.
You skip school, your dad kicks your ***.
You got an E, your dad kicks your ***.
You drop out of school, your dad kicks your ***.
You get a job, your dad pats you on the back.
You start making more money than he did at your age, your dad pats you on the back.
Your dad dies.......there is no god, there is no satan. This is life. Do your best.

I like you curious_chemistry. You make me laugh. Are you really a chemist? We should start a club.
I think, though, that if you're dividing among idealogical lines that there's are more than 2 groups. I'm sure that there are people that don't believe in satan that have nothing else idealogically in common with me.
I don't see why that would be a better division than say, people that believe sexism exists, or people that believe that drunk driving is perfectly ok. Or democrat and republican, which I also don't think represent america well.
I have to say, no. One america.
Not to be personal, but sometimes I think people make a two countries argument to distance themselves from behavior that they don't like, or are ashamed of. So they don't have to associate themselves with people they don't want to be representative of whatever group they're both in. But that's the great thing about groups, the only thing that individuals in them have in common is that they are in that group. That's why prejudice isn't a good way of judging people.

No. I don't think 1/2 of Americans believe in Satan. I believe a lot less than that believe in Satan.

Of course, it doesn't really matter what what you believe. What matters is what is the truth.

well, yes. But you can split American along any line such as those two you feature. Like one half of America are women and the other half is men. So i guess there are Satan-believers in America, and there are not.

I do not know if half believe or not (do you know of a poll taken about this?).

But yes, I agree that many people do believe that there is a Satan (they differ in what they think he can do), and many people do not believe.

I think more than half believe. Because if you believe in God, you believe in heaven and hell. By believing in hell, you believe in Satan... a small minority is too smart to fall for this bull and that's the part that doesn't believe.
