Why don't you ask her. It would be good conversation piece and you can surprise her with it later. You sound very sweet for asking.
Hugs!

If she's not allergic.... roses. Most woman love roses. If you are not set on flowers.... how about a nice plant. That way she will think of you as she sees it growing. Alas, cut flowers die relatively quickly..... plants can hang around for a while. If she doesn't have a green thumb, I would suggest bamboo stalks in a nice vace with some stones at the base.

My mom like simple flowers, and if we are getting her flowers for some event, then it is never Roses. As they are overdone.
Simple carnations etc last longer and look really nice - and come in a plethora of colours.

Depends...your mother shouldn't have to like any particular type....roses are always nice, escpecially tea roses. Gerbera daisies are pretty...iris' are beautiful, um...you can go to a garden shop/greenhouse and buy really nice hanging baskets with a variety in them. Your best bet is to ask your mother in a non-chalant way, then hike over to the nearest greenhouse and ask the people there what you should buy. Good Luck!

I'm a mom who loves Lilys, Orchids, tulips, Irises, daisies, but not really roses. But, your mom will love whatever you get her as long as it comes from the heart.

Don't worry too much about what kind they are, they'll be the most beautiful flowers she's ever seen when YOU give them to her:)

Traditional, like roses or carnations, or something a little different like tulips or daffodils or lillies.

Stargazer lillies are always a good choice. They're gorgeous, and they smell really good. Be careful if she's allergic, though!
