Me and my partner were getting on really well but before i met him he got into a bit of trouble is now in prison he is due out in november but about 4 weeks ago he said that it is not fair on me haning about for him, and for me to get on with my lifebecause he wont know how he feels when he gets out but before he went away he said we would get through this and he always promised he would want to come straight back to me when getting out. we got on so well an dloved each other so much and i still do what should i do

November is NOT that far off... he's probably just trying to be "noble" or else he's afraid you want to give up and wants to beat you to it under the theory that it will hurt less if it was "his doing".
If you love him, stick it out, keep writing, keep visiting but don't press him about plans for the future.

He may be scared of being back into the real world again and doesn't know how to cope with it yet. Just be there for him and let him know that you are there for him. Once he gets adjusted to being on the outside his attitude may change. If you really care for him as much as you seem to indicate, then at least wait until he is out and try to get things working. Just live your life. Do not hang on to the past, cause it might really not be the same later when he gets out, because people change...
Just let the past months...and when he comes back, you have strong feelings for each other, then start a new story with him, rediscover yourselves and build a new thing..

just wait and see and tell him you love and care for him he has been through alot and probably is depressed and is confused so when he gets out be there and dont push him give him time and see how things go just be careful because he really might be trying to tell you something but he doesnt know how all i know is he will need someone for support good luck

Maybe he is in more trouble than you think. He may have to spend more time in jail. He just wants you to be sure you want him. Its true, time has a way of changing things. If he truly loves you, he would not be questioning his feelings anyway. You should go on with your life... if its meant to be, it will be.

Take it as it is and when he gets out you will soon know if it is still there or not. It just may not be. Not so long to wait to find out. Be his friend until then and see.

tell him you dont want to move on until you no for sure he wont be comming back to you he could be saying that now and it could be a different story when hes out but if he makes it clear tat he wont be back move on findsome that will come home to you

well maybe he think that your going to leave him or he think that you can do much more better than him, or maybe he got a boyfriend i;m don;t try to be rude but you know it hard being in pison but talk to him tell him how you feel about him good luck
